I want to discuss about this card due to probably inconsistencies of the card since I can't decide for it in our Yu-Gi-Oh! Simulator. I myself, would follow what is written here in wikia but I hate receiving complaints once in a while about it being wrong. Here's the card: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Divine_Evolution

According to the "complainant", actually he's a friend, that the card should be a Normal Spell Card, not a Continuous Spell.

Here is the proof he gave: Chapter 10, page 16 of Yugioh R manga http://mangafox.me/manga/yu_gi_oh_r/v02/c010/16.html

Quote: Here he activates Divine Evolution to increase the rank of Wicked Dreadroot. He says that while spell cards only affect Gods for 1 turn, this one is permanent. Then the spell card goes away from the field.

I have no stand with/against this issue but I want to be fair with wikia. I want to hear the users/admins reply for this one. Also, if ever, can use this to rename the topic, in case, there are other "inconsistent cards"?

Its very, very difficult to put manga cards into simulators and have them be accurate as they are quite simply not playing the same game. Its also tricky to even identify card types like that, since we don't always see card type symbols and cards that remain on the field aren't always shown when they should be. Well my friend can choose to reply here since like I said, I'd rather go with wikia.

The effect of Divine Evolution is continuous. I just confirmed it in Chapter 10 of Yugioh R. The card remains on the field: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DN-DzBV-9Ig/U7Za_0eo5pI/AAAAAAAAK7E/IOGJccda6Ic/17.jpg?imgmax=3000 However, in Chapter 42, the card is no longer on the field after Wicked Avatar and Obelisk destroy each other by battle. Hence, Divine Evolution only affects the Divine monsters on the field at the time of activation. It stays on the field until those Divine Monsters are removed. This is shown here in Chapter 42 of Yugioh R: http://mymangaonline.us/read-online/Yu-Gi-Oh-R-Ch-42.html then http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eTjA4ukexDA/U7fKJ3ZM3oI/AAAAAAAAMjA/Q9qibg6ENDQ/07.png?imgmax=3000

Shadowfox, I apologize for being rude, but the hell are you on about? It's not in the anime. When Yako uses the card, he explains that usually the effects of Spell Cards wear off on Gods after one turn. "Divine Evolution" is stated to be an exception. It is not a Permanent Spell, nor an Equip Spell; the cards in R specifically state their type. It is a Normal Spell. Micheal, think of it kinda like Aqua Jet if you get my meaning. You might need to check the original Japanese wording for clarification as to whether it only works on Gods though. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 07:57, March 6, 2016 (UTC)

Now, I've found another issue. This card here says Normal Spell. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Call_of_the_Haunted_(anime) Now the proof here says about Episode 17. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Appearances:Call_of_the_Haunted#Yu-Gi-Oh.21 "This card remained on the field until the Duel was over." So it's a Normal Spell but stays on the field? Much like Swords of Revealing Light or should it be a Continuous Spell? --Michael lawrence dee (talkcontribs) 04:12, March 6, 2016 (UTC)

It's quite silly if we are going to call it a Normal Spell that stays on the field. It is a continuous spell card. It is shown both in the anime and manga. If you guys want proof, I can provide anime episodes with screenshots as well as manga chapters.

Does it have the Continuous symbol? If not, it's a Normal Spell that stays face-up, like "Different Dimension Capsule (anime)". --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 04:56, March 6, 2016 (UTC)

I did a little cleanup for the page's formatting. Call of the Haunted seems to be closed since it's really possible to have a Normal Spell stay on the field. But I want to see if there will be a change with Divine Evolution... So it's really a Normal Spell then? Or a Continuous Spell that gets destroyed during the end phase?--Michael lawrence dee (talkcontribs) 13:53, March 6, 2016 (UTC)
