Duradark is mostly an extra Salvo target, but if you can get his effect off, great. Gaia Dragon in the extra is because the Deck runs Mind Control (which also works great with Cyber Valley). Cyber Eltanin is largely there as a Dark Hole rather than for his ATK boosting effect. Everything else should be fairly obvious.

This section is for any wiki users who would like to be a part of the Decks for Free! staff, in other words, a deckbuilder for DFF. You may be given other staffing positions, should a critical staff member retires or if more help is needed on certain update projects.

We're going to slow down the process a little, seeing as we need 3 deckbuilders to eventually test you in terms of deck building ability, we just don't have the heavy staff needed to continue with mass hiring. You can still turn in applications, but the process will be slowed down a bit. Sorry for the trouble, guys.

Overview

General Information

This page is dedicated to helping all duelists out there that need help with their decks. If you're a duelist that needs some help, we'll build you a deck. All you have to do is post here and tell us what kind of deck you want and how much money you're willing to spend getting the cards. If you already have a deck, if you post it in the Deck Template form, we'll revise it and give you our insight. We'll also make a side deck on request, but most likely you'll be directed to this list.

We'll make it a personal project and make sure that you'll be pleased with the final product. Each deckbuilder will only take one deck at a time and they will mark it by adding their name to the header of that section (See Rule 19) and will let you know when they're done with a project by posting "Finished" on the request.

Please note that it's your job to collect the cards, our job is to create the perfect decklist for you.

Rules and Guidelines

  1. Make all requests in their own section and not directly beneath another person's request. Click here to start a new request.
  2. Have a direction for your deck (Examples: Dark World, Burn, Spellcaster, Bounce, etc.). Random strings of cards will not be helped.
  3. Do not ask for more than one deck at a time as others will have to wait longer for the deckbuilder to get to them. If you do post more than 1 request, we will close one of them, until the other 1 is finished.
  4. This is a free service, but we are taking time out of our lives to help you. Be courteous and respectful to the deckbuilders, and please don't leave us waiting for you to answer a question.
  5. If we believe a duelist has abandoned their request, we'll place a notice on the request warning of it's removal within 24-48 hours unless some activity happens.
  6. Completed decks will be moved to the archive after a few days.
  7. Decks that are not signed with 4 tildes (~) will not be helped.
  8. We reserve the ability to delete any and all requests for any reason we see fit, including attitude toward deckbuilders (In DFF or outside DFF), abandonment, or failure to follow rules.
  9. We expect that you'll have access to and/or be able to buy cards from online retailers or hobby stores, we base all card prices on eBay, TCGPlayer, or Google Shopping. We can, on request, verify prices on other sites. We will automatically chose the lowest card price for you.
  10. Give us at least 2-3 weeks notice if you plan to take a deck to a tournament, it is very difficult to make a deck for a tournament with only a few days of notice.
  11. This page is not a page for people to post their opinions. Please, if you want to give your opinion on someone's deck, post it on the user's talk page.
  12. You may request a deckbuilder to help you, please note that it will only ensure that deckbuilder's help. It will not ensure the immediate help of that Deckbuilder.
  13. It is highly recommended that you browse the Deck Galleries or Archives before requesting, you may find what you're looking for before requesting our assistance.
  14. If you saw a deck on your post, and your post is now gone, check the most recent Archive.
  15. Please post all requests at the bottom of this forum, and not at the top of the Requests section, this is for Archival Purposes, and makes it easier on the staff.
  16. Please check the top of this page to see if Decks for Free! is "Open", if we are "Closed", then we will not accept requests.
  17. Please don't make your request title in all capitals, just the first letter of each word in that title.
  18. Please use proper spelling, grammar, and capitalization. Don't posts requests that have "I hav dek tht nds impvmt", it will be totally ignored.
  19. Please make an account and log in before posting a request. Mere IP signatures will not be accepted, because it makes it more difficult for the deckbuilders to contact you. Making an account is simple and easy, just go to the top of the page and click on “Create an account”, then follow the simple instructions. Requests signed by with mere IP addresses will be given 24 hours to make an account.
  20. Remember to use a Template:Decklist for all requests, if you are posting your own deck.
  21. Please do not ask about the status of your request. When a deckbuilder has taken your request, their tag will be added to the header (Resk, Ace, Lappy, Wolf, or Blaze), and when it is finished, the deckbuilder's tag will be replaced with "Finished".
ANY REQUEST THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THESE RULES WILL BE GIVEN 24 HOURS TO COMPLY.

Finished - Blue Final

Hi again, this time I would like to ask for a Thunder-End Dragon OTK deck out of Dragons Collide with egg turbo and FF, maybe with Dragon Ravine, Ancient Rules, Silent Doom and/or Swing of Memories. I confese that I dislike auto-mill and banish stuff(if dragons) from grave if you can mantain that to the minimun is perfect, if banish stuff is mandatory I also want stuff to recover it later. Also I only have 1 Thunder-End Dragon, so I want that if the otk fail, changed to beatdown or Stardust easily. My Budget is no more of 5$ per card, but I have the majority of staples and semi-staples except of course the more expensive ones, and cards of previous structure decks and Collide x2 but Blue-Eyes x3, REDMDx3 and Pulsarx3 also REWx3, Veilerx1, Crowx1, Solemn Warningx2 Copperfield (talk • contribs) 17:57, July 31, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think Thunder-End has a OTK (Not a good one at least). Personally, I liked Lappy's Thunder Frog deck, it worked, summoned Thunder-End, and kept control of the duel later with the Monarchs. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 18:33, July 31, 2012 (UTC)
Well, Thunder-End + Pulsar + REDMD is not a OTK?? I mean, summon Thunder with Pulsar on field and Metal in field or grave, then effect of Thunder next eff Pulsar-> REDMD and with him Pulsar again or Blue-Eyes that is at least 8300 of direct attack... I want a deck to use that combo as principal, but without fall apart if that fail, being beatdown or that can summon the Stardust family if needed (because the stardus family is one of my favorite kind of dragons). If there is no way to do that consistently, then I can change my request for another because there are also other types of decks that want to try as Dark World Copperfield (talk • contribs) 23:52, July 31, 2012 (UTC)
I guess it could work, but then we'd have to throw in other cards to search out Blue-Eyes or dump Blue-Eyes into the grave, which makes it a pain. I guess it could work, although I doubt Chaos Dragon will fail if Thunder-End thing fails, as long as you have Pulsar. But truthfully, Chaos Dragons can OTK already, without Thunder-End, and the Ravine version is much slower compared to the Lightsworn one. Are you sure you don't want Lightsworn? It won't matter if Blue-Eyes and Darkstorm Dragon get stuck in the grave, I was planning on using Divine Dragon Apocralyph for some quick access to REDMD in grave, along with some Swing of Memories. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:11, August 1, 2012 (UTC)

Then Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon I have 2 of them, also Dark Horus x1 and Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord x1, now that I think would be nice a deck that can use Van'Dalgyon's eff, I like him and the poor card is collecting dust in a box... I think Blue-Eyes + Stone is enough to Thunder combo, I have only one afterall, well I also want to kill with it, but of normal dragons Blue-Eyes is the only that I find usefull. Well, with the new banlist FF is gone and REDMD is limited, but debris is semi and spore is a limited and I have a Dandylion. So, what is better?? follow the original plan of Thunder-End OTK, or some other idea like Hieratic synchro (because I only have the common and rare hieratic) with Red-Eyes B. Dragon and Flamvell Guard to make Stardust or something like that with Debris, Spore and maybe Dragunitys??Copperfield (talk • contribs) 19:13, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

I know Atum can be splashed into Dragunity and gives them access to 1 REDMD, which can lead to a field of Atum, REDMD, and a Stardust. But it's not perfect. As for Spore, a the newer version of Plant Synchro is much slower and less efficient at making stuff, since it is slower to get the parts. As for Thunder-End Dragon to make an OTK, why not just drop the OTK part? Well...can you list the Hieratic cards you do have? There just might be a way to still OTK with Hieratic and have your Thunder-End Dragon (Less consistent, but it can be done). ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 21:25, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Never mind, my plan crumbled apart, I kinda over thought it and forgot that Dragonic Tactics summons a monster, so using it to bring out Thunder End-Dragon is kinda pointless, since you can't use Thunder's effect without killing that monster. On the other note, Neo-Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon can be easily summoned, and his Ultra Rare's lowest cost on TCGPlayer.com is a little lower than $6. Plus, any of the Hieratic(s) you might need for a deck like that are all under $6, except the Hieratic Xyz(s). Plus, most Rank 6 monsters are over $5, although, Number 25 is around $7. So, a Hieratic deck based around making Rank 8 monsters, and Neo-Galaxy might work and fit in your budget range. Although if you just don't feel like Hieratic will work, than Lappy made a good Thunder-End deck that's in the Monster Gallery, and most of that should be cheap, as most of it was Frogs and common rarity cards. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:38, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

Egyptian Galaxy


So, sadly this deck really does need Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis or Hieratic Dragon King of Atum to be super effective, but those cost $17+, so for now, Number 25 and Thunder End Dragon will have to be enough for you. Thankfully, Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis will have a tin later this year, and maybe the other tin will have Atum. But the basic idea is to summon Tefnuit, tribute it for Su (Use Su to pop backrow stuff), and then maybe normal summon Gebeb or Eset, activate Dragonic Tactics, tribute both Hieratic for the summon of Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon, (Su and Eset/Gebeb will trigger, so summon both Overlord), then overlay all 3 for Neo-Galaxy. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 16:51, August 20, 2012 (UTC)

Finished - Gate HEROs

I'm changing my request to a Gate HERO deck that can use Dimensional Fissure for some anti-meta, and for more ATK for Shining and must use Voltic. And if D.Fissure makes the deck less consistant it could be side decked which is fine also. This will be my actual deck when I can get the cards but there is no budget since I will be getting them fairly soon anyways. And on a final note TCG only, Thank you. Hmm, I don't have too much experience with Gusto, I abandoned my attempts at it after a good friend told me they were a Archetype that just was too much trouble to control. I know the basics of the deck, but truthfully, they're isn't a huge deal any deck can do against Chaos Dragon, except maybe Inzektors and Chaos Dragon. The Dragons are just too big in terms of attack points, which isn't a surprise, since Dragons have always had much higher attack points that other attributes and types. Best bet would be to go for Daigusto Sphreez and just start ramming them. Maybe one of the others has more experience with Gusto? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 20:01, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

It doesnt need to outmuscle (with out machines or dragons is that even possible?) But synchro fast and furious for things like black rose, and sphreeze, or overmind archfeind, anything with 3000 plus attack.

I apologize... I just can't make this deck. Gusto is one of those archetypes like Naturia that simply doesn't work. It's hard enough without also trying to put Zombies in. If you'd like something else I'd be happy to make it for you. Lappyzard (talk • contribs) 18:15, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

Finished - Pure Insects

Hi, deckbuilders. This deck is not mine, it belongs to a friend who asked me to post it. He wondered if it would be possible to improve it, since he hasn't changed it for the last 2 years or so (taken the liberty of adding Pot of Duality for consistency). Anyway, here's the deck and the request here is to either improve it while keeping the "only-Insects" idea (for Solidarity) or change this deck's goal entirely and allowing Underground Arachnid in the deck. 1900 is just a benchmark attack this format, and I think it's better than Cross-Sword, also Beetle offers something against Dark and Light decks, making most high ATK Light/Dark Monster killable. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 19:15, August 19, 2012 (UTC)

Macro Chaos Deck

Hello, im making a Chaos deck. Could you please help me refine it? i have no budget and i'd also like a side deck please, and if you could edit and fill my extra deck! thanks in advance! For my strategy- it involves a few d.d. cards, and macro cosmos as well as dimensional fissure to power up gren maju da eiza and helios the primordial sun. Gravekeepers servant and dimensional fissure stop the opponent from attacking as well, with mst and dark bribe as protection. I can use the tour guide to summon eiza, summon levair over them, and then use his effect to summon eiza.

Probably, but without Charge and Honest, they lack consistency and raw power to survive in battle, but BLS and Chaos Sorc. kinda make up for that. But the entire point is that you can at least survive until the mid-to-late game, since Lightsworn takes time to wind-up. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:10, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

No one started on this, you'll see part of our Username in the title of the request if we want to work on it. Although, what exactly did you want? A Macro Beatdown or a Macro Monarch or something? Finished - Chaos Machines

Well, I checked the DARK machines, and they do have a good amount of them, like Black Salvo, Unknown Synchron, Sphere of Chaos, and Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive. And the LIGHT side has the Cyber Dragons, Spaceships, and stuff like Tuningware. So, I guess it would be possible, but it's also possible to create a deck based around Junk Synchron and Tuningware and Darksea Rescue. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 17:13, August 19, 2012 (UTC)

Chaos Machines V.Lappyzard


Duradark is mostly an extra Salvo target, but if you can get his effect off, great. Gaia Dragon in the extra is because the Deck runs Mind Control (which also works great with Cyber Valley). Cyber Eltanin is largely there as a Dark Hole rather than for his ATK boosting effect. Everything else should be fairly obvious.

Finished - Updated Rock Stun

Hi DFF: I'd like to request an updated Rock Stun deck Attribute-Type Gallery, P-S, Rock. With cards like Soul of Silvermountain, Grandsoil the Elemental Lord, and Catapult Zone coming out (along with others I probably missed), plus the changes coming with the September banlist, it seems like you could do something really great. BTW, I was specifically looking at Ace's Tumbling Rocks deck, if it matters.

Rock Xyz V.Lappyzard


The star player here is Block Golem. Bring up two level 4s for an easy Rank 4, or bring up two level 3s, make Soul of Silvermountain, attack over a Monster, bring back up Block Golem, and then the options are limitless.

There are 3 things about the deck that look very nonstandard, all of which have become tendencies of mine. 1. The exclusion of Torrential Tribute. 2. The inclusion of Forbidden Lance over MST. In this case, it helps you make Silvermountain plays in addition to being my personal preference. 3. The inclusion of Shard of Greed. Shard is one of my favorite cards right now. It's really underestimated.

I really like the look of this. It's using Catapult Zone to seed the graveyard, while the monsters are all about revival and stalling, is that about right? It looks nice but I kinda wanted a deck that revolves around using Gagaga's eff, so my Extra deck could contain the Gagaga Xyz's monster and a lot of different Number Monsters. There are 4 Gagaga eff monsters 1 Xyz, 3 sells and 3 traps. If it could make full use of there effects so I can Xyz summon any card I want. Zombies HurRAy!

Hi, I'm not sure if its exactly reliable or even a good idea, but maybe you'd enjoy the challenge? I made a deck, somewhat of zombies and The Winged Dragon of Ra. I actually play tested it today and it kinda worked. But the problem was that I couldnt enuff monsters out at a time to summon Ra, I needed to gain LP, and my Ra can still be taken down. Im not just focusing the deck around Ra though, I think I should keep the basic zombie staples in like pyramid turtle, zombie world, and red eyes z dragon. I apologize if I said too much.
