This section is for any wiki users who would like to be a part of the Decks for Free! staff, in other words, a deckbuilder for DFF. You may be given other staffing positions, should a critical staff member retires or if more help is needed on certain update projects.
We're going to slow down the process a little, seeing as we need 3 deckbuilders to eventually test you in terms of deck building ability, we just don't have the heavy staff needed to continue with mass hiring. You can still turn in applications, but the process will be slowed down a bit. Sorry for the trouble, guys.
This page is dedicated to helping all duelists out there that need help with their decks. If you're a duelist that needs some help, we'll build you a deck. All you have to do is post here and tell us what kind of deck you want and how much money you're willing to spend getting the cards. If you already have a deck, if you post it in the Deck Template form, we'll revise it and give you our insight. We'll also make a side deck on request, but most likely you'll be directed to this list.
Ex1: Hi, could you make me a Jurrac deck? I have a money limit of $300. ~~~~
Ex2: Hey, would you look at my Jurrac deck for me? ~~~~
We'll make it a personal project and make sure that you'll be pleased with the final product. Each deckbuilder will only take one deck at a time and they will mark it by adding their name to the header of that section (See Rule 19) and will let you know when they're done with a project by posting "Finished" on the request. Please note that it's your job to collect the cards, our job is to create the perfect decklist for you.
Do not ask for more than one deck at a time as others will have to wait longer for the deckbuilder to get to them. If you do post more than 1 request, we will close one of them, until the other 1 is finished.
This is a free service, but we are taking time out of our lives to help you. Be courteous and respectful to the deckbuilders, and please don't leave us waiting for you to answer a question.
If we believe a duelist has abandoned their request, we'll place a notice on the request warning of it's removal within 24-48 hours unless some activity happens.
Completed decks will be moved to the archive after a few days.
Decks that are not signed with 4 tildes (~) will not be helped.
We reserve the ability to delete any and all requests for any reason we see fit, including attitude toward deckbuilders (In DFF or outside DFF), abandonment, or failure to follow rules.
We expect that you'll have access to and/or be able to buy cards from online retailers or hobby stores, we base all card prices on eBay, TCGPlayer, or Google Shopping. We can on request verify prices on other sites. We will automatically chose the lowest card price for you.
This page is not a page for people to post their opinions. Please, if you want to give your opinion on someone's deck, post it on the user's talk page.
You may request a deckbuilder to help you, please note that it will only ensure that deckbuilder's help. It will not ensure the immediate help of that Deckbuilder.
It is highly recommended that you browse the Deck Galleries or Archives before requesting, you may find what you're looking for before requesting our assistance.
If you saw a deck on your post, and your post is now gone, check the most recent Archive.
Please post all requests at the bottom of this forum, and not at the top of the Requests section, this is for Archival Purposes, and makes it easier on the staff.
Please don't make your request title in all capitals, just the first letter.
Please use proper spelling, grammar, and capitalization. Don't posts requests that have "I hav dek tht nds impvmt", it will be totally ignored.
Please make an account and log in before posting a request. Mere IP signatures will no longer be accepted, because it makes it more difficult for the deckbuilders to contact you. Making an account is simple and easy, just go to the top of the page and click on “Create an account”, then follow the simple instructions. Requests signed by with mere IP addresses will be given 24 hours to make an account.
Please do not ask about the status of your request. When a deckbuilder has taken your request, their tag will be added to the header (Resk, Ace, BF2, Lappy, SM10, Wolf, AE, or Squirtle), and when it is finished, the deckbuilder's tag will be replaced with "Finished".
ANY REQUEST THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THESE RULES WILL BE GIVEN 24 HOURS TO COMPLY.
For more information or questions concerning this page, please visit the talk pages below. Do note that names higher up on the list are veteran members of Decks for Free!.
I think Resk was going for more of a swarm thing with Magical Exemplar and Emergency Teleport and Telekinetic Power Well, this lets you create Synchro Summon plays, as for the other monsters not really needed, but maybe Endymion, the Master Magician at 1 if you wanted to. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:38, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
OK, truth. Your request is too hard to do, focus on ONE type. It's hard to mix so many different types/archetypes, and hope the deck comes out well. Pick ONE of them. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:37, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
Finished - Something-Ninjas
Hi, I've been wanting to make a Ninja deck (gee, i wonder why :>), but I'm not sure how I want to go about it just yet. I'm kind of thinking of a Ninja/Warrior toolbox sort of thing, but I'm also kinda thinking of a Apex Avian/Dark Simorgh-type build using NAoT. Or if there's something even better that I could run, that'd be cool too. I've looked at the ones already made on here and none of them really struck my fancy. TCG advanced format, I'd like to keep it sorta cheap (not really steadfast on a limit, but for now at most $150, and I'd prefer to keep it as cheap as possible), and I have the following cards that may be relevant and you wouldn't have to add to the budget (just off the top of my head, and not exhaustive):
Prices using TCGPlayer or Troll and Toad, whichever is cheaper. Thanks in advance, and I hope you can bear with me a bit on this one :> . Ninja13 (talk • contribs) 10:54, March 7, 2012 (UTC)
Dino-Ninjas are pretty good and cheap. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:19, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
Could I get a bare-bones skeleton for such a deck to see if it's something I might want to try (and also so I can mention which cards involved I already have)? And I'm starting to think I'd want one focused on the Ninjas themselves rather than something else with Ninjas thrown in (not that I'm saying Dino Ninjas is). Ninja13 (talk • contribs) 05:56, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
Funnily enough, I read that article earlier this week. It doesn't really sit well with me; I mean, the Chaos build above it looks more interesting to me, and that's not what I'd want either. I think I'd like something more focused on the Ninjas themselves after all (especially since I'm more into casual play anyways, so it doesn't need to be all that competitive). Ninja13 (talk • contribs) 05:43, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
Not meaning any disrespect against Lappy, he's probably got more important things going on (or maybe he's just still working on the deck, idk), but if any of the other deckbuilders have an idea for this go ahead and post it for me to check out. I'd like to at least have something to try out and test, since I'm waiting on this deck to order stuff for this and the Counter Fairy deck Wolf made, and I already lost out on Gellenduo to net-deckers because of it (my problem for wanting to reduce shipping costs, but still).
In the meantime, I'll just be waiting on Lappy. Ninja13 (talk • contribs) 07:26, April 2, 2012 (UTC)
Casual and focused on the Ninjas themselves. As tempting as it is to set many Traps, make sure you hang onto a few for Golden Upstart Ninja's effect. Rust Mist is less for the effect and more for discard fodder, but it's still not bad. I didn't check prices so let me know if it's too much. Lappyzard (talk • contribs) 02:58, April 3, 2012 (UTC)
B( It seems to be a bit... unfinished lol :3 plus Dustshoot is banned.
Ninja13 (talk • contribs) 05:46, April 3, 2012 (UTC)
Indeed... I did only the Monsters and then I got distracted XP Dustshoot is there because I copied my old staple list. Lappyzard (talk • contribs) 16:33, April 4, 2012 (UTC)
I'll test this out and see how it works. Would this be able to tech in either of the Transformation cards and a couple targets (like say Transformation over Rust Mist and some target over Aqua?), or would that require too much space as to require a deck focused on it? Also, what would be my priority for getting Rank 4/5s (ignoring cost, excluding Roach)? Ninja13 (talk • contribs) 18:16, April 4, 2012 (UTC)
If you can find the space you certainly could, I chose not to in order to keep it more Ninja focused. Your Xyz priorities should probably be:
First Blade Armor Ninja, first Utopia, Tiras, Adreus, second Blade Armor Ninja, second Utopia, Utopia Ray, Wind-Up Zenmaister, and after that whatever you want really.
If y'all have a deck based on him in the archives, then I just missed it. Anyway, my only requirements are Mokey Mokey, Mokey Mokey Smackdown and Human-Wave Tactics, HOWEVER if you can think of some better way to use Mokey Mokey (lol) then that's cool, too. I'm obviously not trying to be super competitive and beat inzektor, wind-up etc.. Also if you could magically fit in Ojama's that would be amazing and hilarious, but it doesn't really seem possible.
Anyway, there's no cost limit, I'm mostly gonna be using this to troll super-serious people on DN, but if it winds up being cheap enough, I'll make it to do the same in real life. Jcfblack (talk • contribs) 18:43, March 12, 2012 (UTC)
Obviously this isn't an easy or obvious deck to make, so I tried to build one to see how it goes... I'm only marginally satisfied; it needs a lot of work and I think I'm trying to do too many things at once, i.e. I don't get what I need when I need it. To clarify, the main idea is to boost Mokey Mokey into a 3000 beater and club things over the head while laughing. Everything else is to stall until this is possible, or try to hide behind synchros/BLS until I can push with Mokeys.
Sooo... yeah. I know it isn't that good, and that's partially the point, but I would like it to be better than it is. Like I said, it seems like too many things are going on, with valhalla and Athena and synchros and BLS, but usually all that stuff can go on in one deck; I guess trying to make room for silly stuff like Mokey gets in the way.
Anyway, I know Dark Ace SP is the only one on here right now, and you usually only comment/make decks you know, so I'm happy with waiting, I just want some help refining it. Jcfblack (talk • contribs) 04:27, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
This isn't meant to be a power deck, so I don't think Dark Ace SP would have any problems with me giving suggestions. So here Goes... Tyrantglider (talk • contribs) 12:40, March 19, 2012 (UTC) Tyrantglider
So, this is a bit of a change-up, but what the point of the deck is the Mokey Mokey smackdown. Other additions could be: Opti-camouflage armor, Heart of clear water, graceful revival, gravity bind, level limit area B, Arcana force 0, Trap Stun, guardian of Order, and flamvell guard. Tyrantglider (talk • contribs) 12:40, March 19, 2012 (UTC) Tyrantglider
Interesting, but I never feel comfortable using decks with more than 41 cards and I prefer 40. Also 9 vanillas seems a little worrisome, but I guess with human-wave tactics you can just go through them. All and All, interesting ideas, but it still doesn't seem quite right. Jcfblack (talk • contribs) 21:53, March 19, 2012 (UTC)
This is a little refined, but it is still 50 cards. I can't think of what else to take out. Sorry i couldn't be more help. Tyrantglider (talk • contribs) 12:21, March 20, 2012 (UTC) Tyrantglider
If this isn't the style you really want, I could probably build "Holy Mokey!" special summoning mokey mokey, etc. with tri wight, de-fusion, etc. Starring obelisk, 1 or more wicked(s), and slipher for when it comes out. Is this more what you would like? Tyrantglider (talk • contribs) 12:31, March 20, 2012 (UTC) Tyrantglider
I know you only want to help Tyrantglider, but please don't post your deck(s) without permission from us first. I have a build that I made for Resk a while back, so I'll try to get it up when I have the time, but I have 4 other requests first, so... Synchro Maniac10 (talk • contribs) 22:40, March 20, 2012 (UTC)
I know you had a lot of decks to make, but it's been 2 weeks since you last said something... Just wanna make sure no one forgot about the silly deck Jcfblack (talk • contribs) 23:35, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
He has Tennis season and stuff, that's probably why he's not very active. I'll post up a talk page reminder for him. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:37, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
I was personally thinking maybe Mokey Mokey Herald with Chaos? And maybe some Agents? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:44, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
That would probably kill the point of Mokey though. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:49, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
That's a really cool idea, actually and at some point I might go for something like that, but if possible i would still like the primary strategy to be actually using mokey mokey to win, and just doing other strategies to stay alive/set up the combo. I realize it's a much worse deck that way, but that is part of the point. Idk if that's what SM10's deck will do, but I'd like to see before asking you to make what you described. Jcfblack (talk • contribs) 13:25, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
SM10 Deck Requested - Vylon Swarm
Hey, I don't know what happened to my earlier request, but oh well. Same thing, could I get a vylon swarm deck based on vylon material and rod of silence? Maniac56 (talk • contribs) 20:43, March 12, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, there was no activity, so I removed it. I think SM10 keeps forgetting to do yours. Anyway, he promised to help you last time, he probably just forgot. I'd go and ask him on his talk if he has the deck, and you can mention my name if you want. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 20:48, March 12, 2012 (UTC)
Finished - Billy deck request: Monk
Unfortunately,I can't test the deck on weekdays because my parents (yes, I am a kid) do not let me play Yu-Gi-oh! (other than check and respond on forums) because it ruins my focus in school. Anyway The next deck is a Monk beatdown deck (As in the series of three monsters).
Guardmaster (talk • contribs) 22:47, March 12, 2012 (UTC)
Don't worry about it then. I'll handle testing for the Slime Deck, then I'll see if I can pick this one up after I finish the Six Sam deck. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:16, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
Oh, you wanted beatdown.....well, there are no good Rock support cards at the moment, a few good ones will be coming out soon, if you want to wait, and if you think this deck won't do it for you, you can ask me to redo it. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:03, April 2, 2012 (UTC)
The deck as it is already has quite a few nice combos. Even with only 1 Dandylion, Lonefire Blossom can search for it and there are 3 Lord Poison monsters to revive it. This, along with Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis, is a killer combo with The World Tree and its 2-counter destruction effect (especially since the Plant-Type monsters don't necessatily need to go to the graveyard, so even Dandylion's tokens are worth for The World Tree).
All improvements are welcome, as long as they are accepted by September 2011 banlist and don't change the point of using Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis as the ace.
-Win 75% dino-rabbit/six sam, 65% Inzektors, 80% wind-up loop when going 1st, 30% wind-up loop when goind 2nd and been looped 1st turn, 92% everything else
-MUST include BLS (do not have; $30), allure (have), 2-3 eclispe wyvern (comes in structure), 1 red-eyes wyvern (do not have; $5), future fusion/five-headed (do not have; $12), utopia (have) and chimeratech (have)

-I have dualities of you to put them in
I would like it finished by Sun, April 8th because I have a regionals coming up.
Please let me know if any of the prices are wrong.
That's what proper side decking is for!!! ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:13, April 4, 2012 (UTC)
Well siding isn't really any good if you don't draw into any of the cards you sided into. I didn't really think I was asking for much but I guess I am so just make me a competitive chaos dragon deck with a side deck that can easily win me over any deck I have trouble with on the big 3. And just ignore the percentages I put.
I was wondering if I could get a Fabled deck that is based on getting Quasar out fairly quickly, but can also hold its own if its not able to get Quasar on the field. Thank you.Hastydemon2 (talk • contribs) 21:48, April 4, 2012 (UTC)
I was wondering if one of you guys could build a Hieratic dragon deck for me. I know they aren't out yet, but I want the list for when they do. I would like to incorporate galaxy eyes photon dragon if possible so I can use neo-galaxy eyes. I would like a side deck if possible. I have no budget so feel free to use the cards you feel best fit:)KGV123 (talk • contribs) 00:08, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
My build is 4? posts up under 'Hylogryph Dragons',
Not to critique, but why do you side Mask of Restrict in a deck based heavily around Tributes? AEtherchild (Talk|Contribs) 12:05, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
Habbit mostly, If I play it, I can still search my 'cyber dragons' out & the 1800 guys, while stopping opponent doing the same, it's the same reason -every- deck ran royal oppresion, as long as you play around it before you play it, then you can side anything.
Hello Decks For Free, with the latest banlist my flamvell deck was rendered highly inefficient, so I'm here to request a new build, I think Flamvell-Jurrac would be the most competitive(besides Laval-Flamvell, but since the cards are not out in TCG yet, I can't play that deck), but I don't really know if there is a more competitive build, which, in case there is, would be preferred, my budget limits are only: No Maxx "C", Fiendish Chain or TGU's. HelioTrice (talk • contribs) 22:59, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
Flamvell Jurrac is at the top of this page, it's the example deck, and I've already made formatted it to the most recent banlist. Would that work for you? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:21, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
Might do, is it currently the most effective type of flamvell deck? HelioTrice (talk • contribs) 09:24, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
Hmm, no, I think Normal Synchrocentric builds would probably be better, but you mentioned Flamvell-Jurrac in your post, so I commented on that. The Jurrac build does have a nice little edge with the Evolzars, though. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:06, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
Mentioned it mostly cause I wasen't sure about which is most effective nowadays, anyways, could I request a Synchrocentric one then? HelioTrice (talk • contribs) 15:50, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
Ehh, I borrow ideas from Resk and my own Laval deck, so it wasn't that hard. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:32, April 9, 2012 (UTC)
Exodia Destiny Board
I would a little odd hybrid deck. Its a hybrid between Exodia and Destiny Board.I think it would be cool to troll opponents when they think you are playing Destiny Board, while youre slowly getting pieces of Exodia in your hand, that way making the opponent confused and he starts making stupid decisions.
No budget restrictions.
Thank you in advance.
Rider of the light (talk • contribs) 15:08, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
The two go together extremely horribly. Exodia is all about drawing the pieces as quickly as possible, which conflicts with Destiny Board's attempt to keep the letters in the Deck. Conversely, Destiny Board needs to rely on cards that can protect Destiny Board without occupying Spell/Trap zones, like Horus LV8, Spell Canceler, and Heralds, which it can't do if the hand is clogged with Exodia pieces. Knowing that it won't work at all, do you still want the deck? Lappyzard (talk • contribs) 20:31, April 14, 2012 (UTC)
Finished - Geargia
I was wondering if I could get a deck that uses the new geargia monsters preferably with machinas, but if machianas don't work out too well or consistantly then maybe karakuri. Thank you.Silentzombie (talk • contribs) 19:58, April 7, 2012 (UTC)
I've been messing with Geargia finding a consistent build; they have a great synergy with Karakuri that I'm liking. Here's the build I'm currently testing out, lemme know if it works for you! AEtherchild (Talk|Contribs) 11:56, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
I'll tell you how I like it a little later, I still have to test it. Silentzombie (talk • contribs) 17:05, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
So I've tested the deck and it works wonders. I'm not sure if it is suppose to do an OTK a lot, but out of the people I faced on DN all of them were OTK's. Thanks for the deck, I might play this when the geargia monsters come out.Silentzombie (talk • contribs) 18:24, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
Hieroglyphic.. Once again
Okay, so the new Hieroglyphic (or Hieratic, whatever) monsters are coming out next month. And I was thinking about two builds to use them : a basic one that uses REDMD to swarm and Xyz Summon (a pretty unoriginal one, yup) and another one.
First of all, I have to admit that this is more of a fun idea than anything else. I was thinking about a Chaos approch of some sort for this one. Since the Hieroglyphic uses Tributes (that means filling the Graveyard basically, am I wrong ?), they could be used in conjunction with Chaos and related monsters. That means that I'm thinking to use perpetual and easy movements of cards between the Graveyard and the Banish Zones and the Field.
So.. Now, it's up to you, deck builders ! Even if I'm pretty sure the first one is the most competitive, I'd really like to see the second one comes to life thanks to you ! =D

I want to make a deck where Slime Tokens from Jam Breeding Machine are tributed by Cannon Soldier to inflict 500 damage per token. To stick to the 'slime' theme, Metal Reflect Slime would be used alongside Raregold Armor to protect Cannon Soldier/Slime Tokens. Notdoppler (talk • contribs) 15:31, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
Haven't had time to test this, maybe you want to test it? Toolbox into Solider to stall it out with Messenger, Reaper, and Marsh, and slowly burn the opponent by other means, if you can't get the cannon and Jam play rolling. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:26, April 14, 2012 (UTC)

Hello I wanted to know if one of you gentlemen could help with a dark world deck that is updated to the banlist on march 1st 2012. I have looked up suggestions and stuff like glow up bulb is on the lists(which is now banned). Could you make a deck that doesnt heavily rely on the extra deck. Magical Books of Spell
Hey i was wondering if you guys can make a deck based on the Books of spell cards coming out in Return of the Duelist. You can also incorporate Spell Counters and Citadel of Endymion. No budget.
Also, this may seem a little unorthodox but, it doesn't have to be a complete deck. You can just draft a skeleton and I can finish it. I'm having a little trouble coming up with my own skeleton and my testing of the archetype isnt going so well. Thanks for the help --Dodger117 (talk • contribs) 18:20, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
Hi, I was wondering if I could get a deck that is focused around Relinquished, if you can maybe try to make it kind of like a disruption deck where my opponent will have a hard time recovering. There is no budget for the deck, and I really appretiate the help. Thank you. Chaos phantom (talk • contribs) 22:56, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
Hello! I would like to build a deck which uses the Fallen Angel cards, as well as the Plant-type Naturia monsters to use for swarming and synchro-summoning level 7 and higher monsters. I've been tinkering around and have built a deck using the aforementioned cards, but I'm having trouble finding a consistent build.
That's what I have so far. I know the traps need a work-over for sure, but other general advice or ideas would be amazing as well. I should be able to get hands on at least one more Rosaria, the Stately Fallen Angel, Fallen Angel of Roses, and Naturia Bamboo Shoot. Perferrably, I would like to keep the budget of any additional cards (i.e. not the ones listed) under $100, but it's not a huge issue. Also, this deck is mainly for fun; I don't expect to be winning any tourneys with this one, although if I could, that would be cool!
Hmm, I'm not bad at plant decks, but was the $100 budget for any and all cards added to the deck? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:09, April 15, 2012 (UTC)
It would be $100 total for all other cards added. That being said, the budget isn't a really important factor, but I would like it to be as cheap as possible, or at the very least reasonably priced, as I am short on funds as of late.AlohaJo (talk • contribs) 02:23, April 15, 2012 (UTC)
Request for a Book of Spell/Gravekeeper hybrid Deck.
I have noticed that most if not all of the Gravekeepers are spellcasters. That and the Book of Spell archtype are in the same boat as them. I was wondering that if it would be possible to merge the 2 archtypes together? I dont even know where to start in terms of building the deck because they are both great on their own. Some one help me out here please?
