Loving it a lot. Regarding the archetypes:
  +
*Pendulum Magicians- Creation is the better one, too bad about its restriction on its scale.
  +
*Performapals - Camelose is ok both as a monster and as a Pendulum with a good Scale; Drumming Kong is not that good, especially since both of its effects are identical, the least they could is make it level 4, cause there is no justification for it to have such a tedious Summon condition.
  +
*Superheavy Samurai - looks like someone will replace Blue Brawler.
  +
*Melodious - Meh to the max. Crystal Rose might be useful though, but more for Gem-Knight than Melodious. Speaking of which:
  +
*Gem-Knight - Both the new Boss and Spell are awesome. The new plays are scary good.
  +
*Raidraptor - Decent support, though shame about the toned down effect of Singing Lanius.
  +
*D/D/D - Really like the Extra Deck monsters, Pandora not so much.
  +
*Fluffal - just got more dangerous, in spite of Mouse's adorable appearance.
  +
*Entermage - looks fun, but could use more support.
  +
*Red-Eyes - OH YEAH! An oldie that got more dangerous. The combination of effect protection + damage infliction is something to watch out for. Add to this the cards from the Collector's Pack and I'm just drooling from the awesomeness.
  +
*Dragonknight - introduced in this pack and composed of only 2 cards, but I can see why. The Synchro monster alone is good enough, never mind the Dragon support it has at its disposal. And it's most obvious more Extra Deck monsters will appear later.
  +
*Igknight - Normal Monsters have arguably benefited the most from the Pendulum mechanic. Imagine these guys with Heart of the Underdog, along with other Normal monster support.
  +
*Aromage - I love Plants. And these make increasing your life points actually worth it. I was kinda hoping for some Extra Deck monsters, because right now they feel incomplete.
  +
*Infernoid - Trishula has some competition.
  +
*Spell Counter cards - both Abductor and Extra Buck are great additions, and Pendulum monsters go great with Spell Counters so hopefully Spell Counter Decks will become faster with these cards.
  +
*Lightsworn - wonderful..., more ways to make an OP Deck even more OP.
  +
*Geargia - Finally, an easy way to bring Geargiagear Gigant XG, not to mention Rank 3 or 4 Xyz monsters with 3 or more materials.
  +
*Empowered/Aether - Really useful in any Warrior/Spellcaster Deck. Wicked Empowering Dragon is frightening, especially when recycling its effect.
  +
  +
Now onto individual cards that grabbed my attention the most:
  +
*Risebell - Definitely useful in Xyz/Synchro decks.
  +
*Counterattacking "C" - Another in the "C" made to be an obstacle to popular Summoning methods, in this case Fusion and Rituals, what with the Nekroz and Shadolls running about.
  +
*Chicken Race - I like unconventional cards like this, too bad it allows your opponent to easily get rid of it, unless you have something like No. 66 or Field Barrier.
  +
*Air Force - This is exactly what today's meta needed, since a lot of Decks today have contingencies when destroyed, or outright benefit from getting destroyed.
  +
*Giant Weasel Explosion - Aside from the humorous image, I can definitely see this one becoming a Staple.
  +
*Scales of Judgment - A fair effect, can easily become a +1 or even a +2 or higher.

Revision as of 15:01, April 27, 2015

As the title suggests, what are you guys looking forward to in Clash of Rebellions? The set just dropped yesterday or the day before in the OCG, and while the TCG won't get it until August, no reason not to talk about what you're excited about, since DN and YGOPro/DevPro exist.

I'm personally looking forward to the new Raidraptor stuff, looks like the deck is finally playable, and while it feels like nothing but a Rank 4 and 5 Xyz deck, it also packs the ability to run 3 Icarus Attack, which is really nice. Raptor's Gust is also really nice. Really bummed that Planetter, the Dwarf Star Dragon is OCG-exclusive. It looks really awesome to play with Chaos Dragon, not to mention the two OCG-exclusive Lightsworn support cards. One of them is a JD searcher, which is really kinda sad and makes you think about how far the game has come, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Dragoknight Luster Pendulum and Explosive Dragoknight Ignister Prominence look really awesome, but I think having one or two more Dragoknights would have been helpful. --Dark Ace SP (TalkPage) 02:26, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

About the "Dragoknights", I think there'll be more of them in the next pack with less "Igkniths" and we'll see how exactly Konami want us to use them together.
I like the "Aroma" monsters, but they could be Fairy to use with the old strategies of "The Sanctuary in the Sky".
The Pendulum Scale of "Deskbot 005" is 10, does it means that there'll be 4 more of them?
And... "Red-Eyes". All I want is a retrained (Metal?) "Meteor B. Dragon". --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 03:44, April 27, 2015 (UTC)
In 2 words
FUCKING EVERYTHING!!! [Insert Simpsons Drool.jpeg here]
In a few more words
I haven't been drooling over a set like this since........A long damn time, CROS and CORE both look like the best sets in a long damn time to me. I'm not sure my Heart can take whatever is in DMOC at this rate. ......or DMOC's OCG exclusives. those have been BS lately. I am also Not sure if my Wallet can take it.
In more then 2 but fewer words then that

Did I mention I am hyped for Red-eyes? I WANT A METAL METEOR NOW!

Looking forward to:

  • Air Force - A boardwipe that neither targets nor destroys. Incredibly handy as an out to hexproof indestructible effects like that of Toon Kingdom.
  • Scales of Judgment - Even as a 1-of, it's going straight into my Chain Burn. Nothing like getting more gas when you're running on low.
  • Giant Weasel Explosion - Chainable defensive measure that can help you dodge an OTK. Also bypasses hexproofing and indestructibility.
  • Chicken Race - Funny name, silly synergy with Hope for Escape.

Dead scared of:

  • Infernoid Dekatron - Way to go, Konami, you've pushed so hard you accidentally the whole design quirk of the Deck.
  • Aroma - Mixed feelings about this. While I appreciate there finally being an archetype to make LP gain a significant thing, it's the next things since Psychics that would make my Chain Burn sweat bullets.
  • Judgment of the Lightsworn - Oh come on, JD without assistance was bad enough, especially in multiples, but a tutor?

--Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 13:59, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

Didn't even notice that Dekatron kinda gets around the entire quirk of the deck. Kinda scared now. The new Toon stuff seems good too. --Dark Ace SP (TalkPage) 14:41, April 27, 2015 (UTC)
Just noticed that Aroma also got two continuous trap cards that help the monsters use their effect even more, which is nice. Going to try that one out. Rank-Up-Magic Raptor's Force just seems amazing, I mean you kill my Xyz, let me now upgrade it. Magical Abductor just seems really good. Somehow, mixing Spell Counters with Magical Abductor and Creation Magician just screams Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon spam, but we'll see about that one. --Dark Ace SP (TalkPage) 14:50, April 27, 2015 (UTC)
