Yuma Tsukumo	Name start with "Yu" (遊) like other protagonists. Tsukumo means "99". Kumo (蜘蛛) is played on the word "spider", referring to the tale "The Spider's Thread" by Ryunosuke Akutagawa about Shakyamuni tries to save a sinful man (Vector) from hell for not killing a single spider. Also ties to Kyoji Yagumo's name in the manga.

Mira Tsukumo/Mirai Tsukumo	Mirai means future. Together, her full name can be roughly translated as "ninety nine futures". Mira means peace, possibly refers to Utopia archetype.

Rio Kastle/Rio Kamishiro/Marin/Merag	The kanji "ri" (璃) from Rio means Lapis Lazuli Kamishiro means "Age of the Gods". Rio is Spanish for "River". Kastle likely come from "Shiro" in Kami"shiro".
