Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki

Okay, I've been playing in a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan-made simulator for some time and I was one of the Anime Card contributors. They didn't accept my nerfing since they preferred the original. On my point of view, what I do is what Konami does but I do better, I nerf Anime Cards but make sure the essence of the card remains there. I didn't really watch the series so I base it all in card text. I want to see people's point of view here in wikia to see if Konami would accept my suggestion and probably would take my card effects. I based off my nerfing in Tag Force series. Also, is there a way to make this suggestion to Konami directly? Here's all I got:

Turn Jump:

Original Effect:

Can activate during the Battle Phase. For the next 3 turns, each player must pass their turn. (Also, do not draw during the Draw Phase.) 6 turns after activation, resume play from the Battle Phase.

PCST and nerfed effect:

Activate only at the start of either player's Battle Phase. Skip 6 turns (except Standby Phase) and resumes the Duel during that player's Battle Phase. (Neither player draws a card(s) between these turns)

Evil 1:

Original Effect:

During damage calculation, if a monster you control battles an opponent's monster: Activate this card; monsters cannot be destroyed by this battle, also the battle damage taken becomes equal to the Life Points of the player who would take that damage − 1. During your Main Phase: You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target, and if you do, skip this turn's Battle Phase.

PCST and nerfed effect:

Activate only if your Life Points are at least 6000 points lower than your opponent's. During damage calculation, if a monster you control battles an opponent's monster: Activate this card; monsters cannot be destroyed by this battle, also the battle damage taken becomes equal to the Life Points of the player who would take that damage -1. During your next End Phase after you activate this card, you lose the Duel (This effect lasts even if this card leaves the field). During your Main Phase: You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target, and if you do, skip this turn's Battle Phase.

Scrap-Iron Barricade:

Original Effect:

Select 1 face-up monster on the field. Then, Set this card face-down again instead of sending it to the Graveyard. This turn, that monster cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

PCST and nerfed effect:

Activate only when a card is targeted by a card effect. Target 1 face-up monster on the field. Then, Set this card face-down again instead of sending it to the Graveyard. This turn, that monster cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

Scrap-Iron Pitfall:

Original Effect:

Activate only when your opponent Special Summons a monster. Return that monster to your opponent's hand and Set this card face-down again instead of sending it to the Graveyard.

PCST and nerfed effect:

Activate only when your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) while you control less monsters than your opponent's. Return that monster(s) to your opponent's hand and Set this card face-down again instead of sending it to the Graveyard.

Destiny Activator

Original Effect:

Send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard. During each of your opponent's Draw Phases, check the card your opponent draws. If it was a card of the same type of the card you sent to the Graveyard (Monster, Spell or Trap), destroy this card and halve your opponent's Life Points.

PCST and nerfed effect:

Send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard. During each of your opponent's Draw Phases, check the card your opponent draws. If it was a card of the same type of the card you sent to the Graveyard (Monster, Spell or Trap), destroy this card and halve your opponent's Life Points. During your 3rd End Phase after activation, send this card to the Graveyard and halve your Life Points.

PCST and nerfed effect:

Your opponent chooses 1 card from your Deck and can either activate it or set it to their side of the field. Then, draw 5 cards. (or we can agree make this to draw 3 cards since Konami hates it to become too op)

I'm expected most of these cards becoming banned though. I hope I get comments on this one. Any other Anime Cards you want to hear my opinion on? --Michael lawrence dee (talkcontribs) 03:40, February 8, 2015 (UTC)

Also, is there a way to make this suggestion to Konami directly? You are not the first person to think this. Unfortunately, no. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:33, February 8, 2015 (UTC)
On my point of view, what I do is what Konami does but I do better...
Oh boy, this is going to be a laugh. Yes, Konami makes some questionable nerfing decisions, but that's no guarantee you might perform better.
This isn't quite the best place for this. Not to mention we've handled a few other people who have attempted (and failed) to even reach Konami's design department. Don't try.
I would, however, happily point you to this forum where the facilities are more catered to card design, and the members are more than willing to tear your design decisions a new one help you improve. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 04:32, February 9, 2015 (UTC)
Like I said, I've been in a simulator, you may have heard of the game but I won't blurt out the name, I've had people to agree with me, of course, most of Anime lovers hated it but the ones who play by TCG/OCG think it's fair.
Also, why does logging in via Facebook kind of changes to an account that's different from what I really use as my wikia account? Michael Lawrence Dee (talkcontribs) 06:17, February 9, 2015 (UTC)
I must also advise that designing cards with the expectation of them being Limited or Semi-Limited is also bad design practice. If you, the designer, foresee the banhammer stalking your own cards, it's a signal for you to adjust your power level boundaries. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 06:42, February 9, 2015 (UTC)
As Anime Cards, those are pretty good nerfs, as for TCG/OCG well some of them are pretty bad, if you just look at some of these cards, they're not worth even being semi-limited. Michael Lawrence Dee (talkcontribs) 07:15, February 9, 2015 (UTC)
