"When a Spellcaster-Type monster is destroyed by battle, if you apply the effect of "Defender, the Magical Knight", then you apply the effect and select the Spell Counter at Damage Calculation. The chosen Spell Counter is removed from the field at the end of the Damage Step, when the monster would be sent from the field to the Graveyard."

Does this ruling mean There is still battle damage done, but the monster is still on the field... Basically causing some sort of trample effect?

  • You will take damage from an attack provided it's in Attack Position or has Trample/Piercing effect since Defender doesn't protect you from Battle Damage, just the monster being destroyed. KnightRider25 06:05, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
