A Double Aesir Deck is a deck that revolves around two Nordic sub-archetypes, Nordic Ascendant and Nordic Beasts. It is one of the most commonly used deck that revolves around the Nordic. The main goal is to summon Odin, Father of the Aesir and Thor, Lord of the Aesir to lock your opponent from using Spell Card, Trap Card or Effect Monster's effect. There is only one way to summon Loki, Lord of the Aesir and that is to use Mara of the Nordic Alfar as it is the only useful tuner out of all of the Nordic Alfars.

Strategies and Tips

The way to summon Odin, Father of the Aesir is to use Valkyrie of the Nordic Ascendant's effect to summon two Einhenjarr tokens then Synchro Summon it. This is the only way to summon Odin, Father of the Aesir instantly in a Double Aesir deck.

There are many ways to summon Thor, Lord of the Aesir due to the powerful swarming effects of the Nordic Beasts and the Beast support cards. One way is to have your opponent attack your Tanngrisnir of the Nordic Beasts then you can summon two tokens and special Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts with it's effect in defense position. Next turn you can change the battle position of Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts and search for the key Tuner Monster, Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts. Normal summon Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts and then tune it with two tokens to summon Thor, Lord of the Aesir. Another way is to use the "Chain Lock Key" engine. First set Key Mouse then let your opponent attack. Use it's effect to search for either Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts or Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts. Then summon Lock Cat and special summon Key Mouse from your Graveyard. If your opponent attacks Key Mouse special summon Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts and next turn tune it with Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts. If your opponent attacks Lock Cat, special summon Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts then use its effect to search for Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts. Then use your Key Mouse to attack your opponent's monster. You can then special summon a second Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts and then normal summon Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts to summon Thor, Lord of the Aesir.

The only way to summon Loki, Lord of the Aesir is to summon Mara of the Nordic Alfar and tune with Tyr of the Nordic Champions with another one or Garmr of the Nordic Beasts. Or the second way is to use Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant to substitute Nordic Alfar tuner and synchro summon Loki, Lord of the Aesir.

Weaknesses

This deck is weak to cards which cannot let you synchro or special summon like Discord and Royal Oppression. All the monsters have low attack stats so this deck heavily relies on the synchros. Cards that remove from play other cards like Dimensional Fissure can heavily damage this deck as the Aesirs cannot revive and Chain Dog and Lock Cat's effect will be useless.
