Deep Sea is a series of WATER Sea Serpent monsters. Prior to the release of "Deep Sea Diva", there have been several Water "Deepsea" (without spacing) monsters in their English names, but share the same kanji as this series ( (しん) (かい) ) in that part of their naming in the OCG. These are "Deepsea Shark", "Deepsea Macrotrema", "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth", and "Deepsea Warrior".

DesignEdit

The Deep Sea monsters take form of fish-people or merpeople (with the males being tied to the former in opposite of the females to the latter), in which, judging from the art of Deep Sea Aria, are closely related to the "Mermail" archetype.
