Dark Yugi and Deschutes' Duel was a Duel in Yu-Gi-Oh! R between Dark Yugi and Deschutes Lew.

Events[]

Prior events[]

Anzu Mazaki was kidnapped by Yako Tenma, who informed Dark Yugi that he was going to sacrifice her and that Dark Yugi would need to come to KaibaCorp if he wanted to rescue her.

Dark Yugi, accompanied by Katsuya Jonouchi and Hiroto Honda ventured to KaibaCorp. At the entrance Deschutes Lew threw them the "Soul Prison" card, containing Anzu's soul and identified himsefl as one of thirteen Card Professor mercenaries they would need to defeat to save Anzu. He showed them a key card to the building and said that they would need to defeat him to get it.

The Duel[]

Dark Yugi's turn

Dark Yugi Set "Owner's Seal" in the Spell & Trap Card Zone and Summoned "Queen's Knight" (ATK: 1500).

Deschutes' turn

Deschutes Summoned "Gear Golem the Moving Fortress" in Defense Mode (DEF: 2200) and Set "Negate Attack" and "Forceful Deal" in the Spell & Trap Card Zone.

Dark Yugi's turn

Dark Yugi Summoned "King's Knight" (ATK: 1600). This allowed him to Special Summon "Jack's Knight" (ATK: 1800), which he equipped with "Lightning Blade" (ATK: 1800 → 2600).

Dark Yugi attacked "Gear Golem the Moving Fortress" with "Jack's Knight", but Deschutes negated the attack with "Negate Attack".

Deschutes's turn

Deschutes Tributed "Gear Golem the Moving Fortress" to Summon "Castle Gate". He then used "Brain Control" to take control of "Jack's Knight". Deschutes Tributed "Jack's Knight" for the effect of "Castel Gate", inflicting 2600 damage to Dark Yugi (Dark Yugi: 4000 → 1400 Life Points).

Dark Yugi's turn

Dark Yugi Tributed "Queen's Knight" and "King's Knight" to Summon "Dark Magician".

Deschutes activated "Forceful Deal", paying half of his Life Points (Deschutes: 4000 → 2000) and destroying "Gate Castle" to take control of "Dark Magician".

Dark Yugi activated "Owner's Seal", regaining control of "Dark Magician".

"Dark Magician" attacked Deschutes directly (Deschutes: 2000 → 0 Life Points), winning the Duel.

Aftermath[]

Deschutes gave Dark Yugi the card key. He then explained that the building was divided into ten blocks and Dark Yugi would need to get more card keys to go from one block to another. Deschutes wished them luck as he parted.
