"Dark Magician Girl", known as "Black Magician Girl" (ブラック・マジシャン・ガール Burakku Majishan Gāru) in Japan, is an archetype, and a sub-archetype of the Dark Magician archetype. They are all based on "Dark Magician Girl".

In Spanish, the effect of "The Eye of Timaeus" supports "Mago/a Oscuro/a", which includes both the Spanish name of "Dark Magician" ("Mago Oscuro") and part of the Spanish name of "Dark Magician Girl" ("Maga Oscura"). In Italian and Portuguese, despite the term for "Dark Magician" differing between "Dark Magician" ("Mago Nero", "Mago Negro") and "Dark Magician Girl" ("Maga Nera", "Maga Negra"), only the former is supported. In French and German, "Dark Magician Girl" is supported as an individual card rather than an archetype.
