This is the talk page for discussing the page, Card Trivia:Five-Headed Dragon.

Okay. I just edited the page to remove the following:

  • The number 5 is associated with this card in the following ways:
  • The monster has five heads
  • It requires any five Dragon-type monsters to summon it
  • Its ATK and DEF are 5000
  • It cannot be destroyed in battle by five of the seven attributes
  • It is used by the Big Five in the Anime
  • Its name in the TCG has five syllables

I think I should state my reasoning for this:

  • The number 5 is associated with this card in the following ways:
  • The monster has five heads (REALLY!? That's why it's called Five-Headed Dragon for crying out loud!)
  • It requires any five Dragon-type monsters to summon it (Well, true. But, we are removing everything else, so...)
  • Its ATK and DEF are 5000 (Oh? What's this have to do with 5? There's a 4995 difference you know.)
  • It cannot be destroyed in battle by five of the seven attributes (Seven attributes? Last time I checked there were 6: Water, Earth, Fire, Wind, Dark, and Light)
  • It is used by the Big Five in the Anime (Is this an "Appearances" article? I thought not.)
  • Its name in the TCG has five syllables (...) (...) (... WHAT!? That makes no sense. Why would that be the reason that-? I give up. The fact of the matter is that this card's name was decided long before it was printed, when it first appeared in the anime.)

I apologize to the person who wrote that, but this is just silly.

5000 = 1000 x 5. I think that's what they meant. Also, Divine is now an attribute (thanks to Obelisk and Ra). --Blue (Talk) 02:00, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

I think those should be added back. And as said above, there are 7 attributes now and 5x1000 is 5000. And it having five heads may be obvious, but that's irrelevant. This is a TRIVIA page, so no matter how trivial something is, we put it here (Like that the name has 5 syllables.) And yes, it being used by the Big Five is an appearance, but it's referencing as it's relationship to the number 5. The only one I haven't explained to you is it having 5 fusion materials monsters and you answered that one yourself already. And by the way, even if something's not a reason for the name, it's still trivia. So ya, Adding it back.74.73.142.163 00:35, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

You should at least discuss it on the talk page before you revert something. I'm not going to revert it back because i don't want to cause an edit war, but at least post something here first.74.73.142.163 21:27, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

If we're going to list all of the DIVINE creatures, we may as well list all of the LIGHT ones, and that is a waste of space. Although there are only 2 DIVINE monsters, they could make more to even possibly have more than the number of LIGHT creatures, and then it becomes tedious to keep adding them --GoldenSandslash15 18:56, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Each relation to the number 5 should be independent of the other items on the list. Otherwise you're refering to the same 5 repeatedly. Almost all of them are referencing the fact that it has 5 heads.
  • It has 5 Fusion Material, one for each head.
  • 5000 ATK and DEF is because it has 1000 ATK for each head.
  • It can't be destroyed by 5 of the Attributes is because each head represents 1 Attribute. It can only be destroyed by the Attributes it doesn't have a head for.
  • It was used by the Big Five. Well that's because it has 5 Fusion Material (or Ritual Material in their case). Each of them had 1 material.
  • 5 syllables in its English TCG name is just a coincidence. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:03, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

5 Heads

Does anyone else agree that it doesn't look like Metal Dragon? I get the other 4, that one doesn't look anything like it imo. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 03:57, July 21, 2012 (UTC)

Attribute of each head

Is there an official source that says which head represent which Attribute ?

There are 3 heads with obvious Attributes , but I think the mechanized head should represent Earth Attributes ( metal ores can be found underground , that is why most Machine Type monsters are Earth ) , and the horny yellow one represents Wind Attributes .
