- This monster is "Skull Knight" without its mask.
- This card along with "Masahiro the Dark Clown" and "Tomohiro the Mountain Warrior" were based off of the portraits of the finalists of Yu-Gi-Oh's first National Conference in Japan. This card was awarded to players among the Top 8 of the Second National Conference in 2001.
- This card is the only OCG/TCG Fusion Monster, legal or not, to have a Spell or Trap Card listed as a Fusion Material.
- However, several Fusion Monsters are able to use Spell or Trap Cards treated as monsters (either due to being Trap Monsters or Summoned by "Magical Hats") as Fusion Materials.
- The concept of using Traps for Fusion Summoning would be revisited with "The Fang of Critias".
- This card is the only Illegal Fusion Monster in the OCG.
