The Bandai version of this card has 1700 ATK & 1600 DEF, whereas the Konami version has 1400 ATK & 1200 DEF.

This card was the first monster played by "Yugi Muto". In fact, the first monster card played by each "Yu-Gi-Oh!" protagonist was a WIND monster.

If this card gains ATK points equal to Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress ^#2 DEF, this card ATK becomes 2400 (1400 + 1000). Also, if Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress ^#2 gains ATK equal to this card DEF, it too will have 2400 ATK (1200 + 1200).

This card is very similar to a monster played by Yami Yugi in Season 0 Episode 24 against Seto Kaiba. It was named Pterosaur Guardian of the Fortress.
