- This monster has the highest ATK of level 4 or lower "Koala" themed monsters.
- This monster could be based on the drop bear, a carnivorous koala from the Australian mythology.
- If you look closely at the background, you can see Dracula´s castle, from the Castlevania Games.
- In an episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, a character named Hoss Delgado mentioned Vampire Koala. He stated that it was also part bear.
- The symbol on its forehead very closely resembles the symbol used on many costumes by the character Batman.
