- This is the "Toon" version of "Cannon Soldier".
- The cartoonish change from its original self is that it now has eyes and the glass surface that shows some of the original's inner parts is replaced with a mouth.
- The Spanish name of this card does not match the Spanish name of "Cannon Soldier". In Spanish, "Cannon Soldier" is named "Soldado Cañón", whereas this card's name instead includes "Soldado Cañon", differing by the acute accent on an 'o'.
- The German name of this card from Dark Beginning 2 and Tournament Pack 6 has a spelling mistake. It's written as "Kanonnensoldat" but whereas "Kanonensoldat" would be the correct form. This mistake was corrected 7 years later in Legendary Collection 3.
- This is the first Toon monster to be Forbidden, though currently in the OCG.
