This is the "Toon" version of "Cannon Soldier".
- The cartoonish change from its original self is that it now has eyes and the glass surface that shows some of the original's inner parts is replaced with a mouth.

The Spanish name of this card does not match the Spanish name of "Cannon Soldier". In Spanish, "Cannon Soldier" is named "Soldado Cañón", whereas this card's name instead includes "Soldado Cañon", differing by the acute accent on an 'o'.

This was the first “Toon monster” card to be forbidden (in the OCG at least) due to being involved in a nearly unstoppable FTK with Firewall Dragon (along with the original Cannon Soldier) which involves tributing numerous monsters for continuous burn damage, as the card is not once per turn.
