  • This card is based off of the real-world structure of ancient egyptian Sarcophagi; Typically the mummified body would be held inside of three, consecutively smaller coffins made of different materials and styles. "The Third Sarcophagus" depicts an ornate gold-and-wood coffin, which would rest inside of another wooden coffin. These coffins tended to be highly ornate and reflected the economic status of the deceased in their decoration; ranging from merely bright-painted wood for common people to gold-and-jewel inlay for royalty.
  • One can assume "Spirit of the Pharaoh" is inside this sarcophagus, given the resemblance of the coffin's face to "spirit's" own and given that this card Special Summons "Spirit of the Pharaoh" by its effect.
