- The three "Legendary Dragons" are named after Plato's Dialogues, from which we have many of our myths pertaining to the lost city of Atlantis. "Hermos" is named after Hermocrates (as obviously shown in its French name only), also known as the lost dialogue of Plato.
- In the anime, this card has the most associated Fusion Monsters of the "Legendary Dragons", having five associated Fusion Monsters ("Time Magic Hammer", "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword", "Rocket Hermos Cannon", "Big Bang Dragon Blow", and "Goddess Bow").
- This card has the following distinctions from the other "Legendary Dragon" cards:
- It is the only one whose anime artwork does not have a wasteland as a background.
- It is the only one to materialize with an opponent's monster. In this case, it combined with Valon's "Big Bang Blow" to form "Big Bang Dragon Blow".
- It is the only one to not have an associated Fusion Monster that did not appear in the anime ("The Eye of Timaeus" has "Dark Magician the Dragon Knight" and "The Fang of Critias" has "Destruction Dragon").
- The anime version of this card creates new Equip Spell Cards, while the OCG/TCG version creates new Fusion Monsters that can equip to other monsters.
