- The Bandai version of this card belongs to the "Black Magic" family (which can be considered as a DARK Spellcaster) whereas Konami's version is a Thunder monster.
- "Sanga" makes up the torso and arms of "Gate Guardian".
- The symbol on its forehead means "Thunder".
- This card has a different English naming format than the other two "Gate Guardian" components. In Japanese the components are called: "Thunder Devil - Sanga", "Wind Devil - Hyuga", and "Water Devil - Suga". "Sanga" is the only one who kept its "name"; where the other two were named for their element ("Kaze"/"Sui" is wind/water respectively) and "jin" a Japanese word meaning "god".
