This card has the same ATK as "Dark Magician", "Elemental HERO Neos", "Stardust Dragon" and "Number 39: Utopia". These cards are respectively the signature cards of Yugi Muto, Jaden Yuki, Yusei Fudo and Yuma Tsukumo, the previous protagonists from the first four series of the anime.
- Bits of this card may also reference the previous series:
  - The name "Odd-Eyes" connects with the "Blue-Eyes" and "Red-Eyes" from the first series, and "Galaxy-Eyes" from Zexal.
  - Its effect is similar to that of "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman", the first ace monster of GX.
  - This card is a Dragon-Type, like Stardust Dragon from 5D's.
The "Odd-Eyes" part from this monster's name comes from the fact that it has heterochromia (its left eye is green while its right eye is red).
