  • The "V" in this card's name probably refers to the fact that this is a Barian version of "Utopia" (which is spelled "Varian" in Japanese) - "Utopia Ray Varian".
    • It could also refer to the roman numeral "V" being 5, this card's Rank.
    • It could also foreshadow the idea that Yuma replaces this card with "Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory", the "V" standing for "Victory".
  • This card's appearance looks very similar to Kamen Rider Agito's Burning Form, as they both have the same weapon and "evil"-looking image.
  • This is the first Ranked-Up "Number C" that is not part of "Number 10X" archetype.
  • This card is so far the only card to belong to nine supported archetypes: "C", "Number", "Number C", "Number C39", "Utopia", "Number C39: Utopia Ray", "V (archetype)", "V (anime)" and Hope. Although "Number C", "Number C39", and "Number C39: Utopia Ray" are sub-archetypes of "Chaos", "Number", "Number C", "Number C39", "Utopia" and "Hope" respectively, they have specific support.
  • "Utopia Ray V's" number that appeared on its body during its Summon scenes had an orange color, despite both the card and the number that appeared on the screen previously were red. This was likely an animation error.
  • This monster is the third Warrior-Type "Number C" monster, the first being "Number C39: Utopia Ray" and the second being "Number C105: Comet Cestus".
