- This card resembles a monster that could of been from the movie "The Mist"
- This was the second Synchro Monster that required more than two Synchro Material Monsters to Synchro Summon.
- "Mist Wurm" appears in the artwork of "Synchro Back".
- This monster bears a slight resemblence to Aztekipede, the Worm Warrior and Doom Dozer, ironically, is a Thunder-type monster.
- Aside from monsters with ? DEF, this card has the lowest DEF of any Level 9 monster.
- Though this card does not have "Mist Valley" mentioned in its name or effect, it is a Wind-Attribute Thunder-Type monster dealing with returning cards to the hand, which are common traits among "Mist Valley" monsters.
- The environment that it is rampaging through also resembles what other cards have shown of the "Mist Valley".
- This card shows a slight resemblance to the Worm Archetype, despite it not being a Reptile-Type since it seems to be a worm like monster, however, it is spelled "Wurm", probably to prevent it from being used with other Worm cards.
- This card's effect can return a number of cards equal to this monster's minimum amount of Synchro Material Monsters to the hand.
