- Kusanagi is a sword in Japanese mythology.
- This is the second card based on that mythology; the first being "Sword of Kusanagi".
- This card is similar to "Heroic Champion - Excalibur", as when this card uses up all of its Xyz Materials, it'll also have 4000 ATK.
- In the anime, this monster appears to be a giant compared the rest of the members of the "Heroic" archetype. This is shown particulary clearly when it battled "Gagaga Cowboy".
