- This card is loosely based on Oberon, the king of the fairies from William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
- The name "Truesdale" has been used to refer to Solomon Muto in some traslations of Game Boy video games. It is also the family name of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX characters Syrus and his older brother Zane.
- Ironically enough, even though this card's name states Truesdale to be a "Fairy King" his type is Plant.
