- This card is the counterpart to "Lightpulsar Dragon".
- This card is similar to "Darkblaze Dragon", having similar names, the same Type, a very similar physical appearance (just with darker colors) and having the same ATK (once "Darkblaze Dragon" is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, and has its ATK doubled).
- It also has a similar name to "Darkfire Dragon".
- Since "Mirage Knight" has a dragon counterpart in "Mirage Dragon", it would make sense for this card to be the Dragon counterpart of "Dark Flare Knight", since the two knights are closely related.
- However, this is extremely unlikely, as "Dark Flare Knight" is known as "Black Flare Knight" in the OCG.
