Card Trivia:Black Rose Dragon

• This is the Cover Card of Crossroads of Chaos.

• This card's first name is different from its artwork.

• This card is very similar to "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" in the same respect that "Red Dragon Archfiend" and "Stardust Dragon" are similar to "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and "Dark Magician", respectively.

• This is the first of the Signer Dragons whose effect relates to a specific Type and the first to have a specific support card, "Thorn of Malice".

• This is the first of the Signer Dragons to be Level 7 instead of 8, as opposed to "Stardust Dragon", "Life Stream Dragon", "Red Dragon Archfiend" and "Black-Winged Dragon. "Ancient Fairy Dragon" would later follow.

• This is the first of the Signer Dragons to be Limited in 1st March 2010 Banlist, then back to Unlimited in the next Banlist.

• This card represents Akiza Izinski because of both Akiza's and this dragon's naturally beautiful appearances, yet very destructive capabilities.

• "Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua" is the antithesis to this card; "Black Rose Dragon" destroys all cards on the field when it's summoned, where as "Ccarayhua" destroys all cards on the field when it's destroyed. Also Misty Tredwell (Ccarayhua's user) was Akiza's nemesis at one point.

• This card is the only card that was reprinted two times with "DUEL TERMINAL" written on it without actually being in one of the Duel Terminal sets.

• This card has the lowest combined ATK and DEF out of all Signer Dragon. Ironically, its effect is one of the most powerful, effective and easy to use (along with "Stardust Dragon").

• In the anime, this card, "Red Dragon Archfiend" and "Life Stream Dragon" are the only Signer Dragons that have not been absorbed by one of the Meklords. However, "Red Dragon Archfiend's" upgraded form, Red Nova Dragon, has been absorbed by "Meklord Emperor Granel ∞" and "Meklord Astro Mekanikle".
  • This card is notably the only Signer Dragon to never be used against any of the Meklords at least once. This is because Akiza never battled any of Aporia's embodiments or Aporia himself.

• Just like "Stardust Dragon" has a younger counterpart in Debris Dragon, this card also has a younger counterpart, "Blue Rose Dragon". Blue Rose Dragon, though, actually supports this card.

• Black Rose Dragon has been the Featured card of an episode 4 times, more than any others.

• This card bears the same ATK and DEF as "Tethys, Goddess of Light" and "T.G. Hyper Librarian".

• This card has several supports, such as" Blue Rose Dragon" and "Thorn of Malice."
