• In the anime and video games, it is referred to as "Dark Magic Ritual".

• "Dark Dragon Ritual's" artwork is based off and closely resembles the artwork of this card.

• One of the few English cards to explicitly refer to "Black Magic" rather than "Dark Magic"

• The Circle under the flame is the same shown on Magic Jammer, Trap Jammer and Monster Gate.

• This was one of only a few cards not to have an 8-digit game input code until its release in Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World
