- This card can be Special Summoned with "Bahamut Shark". It can send itself as the cost to negate an effect, which will trigger its last effect and retrieve itself or another WATER monster.
- "One for One" can summon "Substitoad" while sending a monster that recovers card advantage (such as "Lightserpent" or especially "Nimble Angler"). Then, "Substitoad" can Tribute itself and the revived monster(s) to summon a Level 2 "Frog" monster from the Deck for each one.
- This card can also be easily Summoned in a "Paleozoic" Deck.
- In an “Aquaactress” Deck, by summoning two copies of “Aquaactress Guppy” with their own effects, you can easily summon this card.
