- This card can be searched by "A Cat of Ill Omen" and "The Despair Uranus".
- Combine "Spirit Barrier" with "Marshmallon" to make an invincible monster. For an even better combo, equip "Marshmallon" with "Raregold Armor", or use "Marshmallon Glasses".
- Also use with monsters like "Spirit Reaper" that can't be destroyed in battle, or at least not easily, like "Shield Wing."
- Use "Spirit Barrier" with "Astral Barrier" and your opponent will not be able to destroy your monsters by battle or inflict Battle Damage to your Life Points, while you have any monsters.
- This card is at its most useful when combined with Gladiator's Assault Cloudian monsters.
- Combine this card with "The Unhappy Girl" in a stall deck to prevent your opponent from being able to attack with any of their monsters.
- Equip "Mist Body" to a card like "Solar Flare Dragon", and then activate this card to have a perfect way to not take life point damage, and inflict life point damage to your opponent.
- For one turn protection, use this card with "Absolute End" while you have a monster on the field.

- You can combine this card with "The Legendary Fisherman" while "Umi", "A Legendary Ocean" or "Forgotten Temple of the Deep" is on the field. This way, you'll have a monster that is unaffected by Spell Cards which can't be attacked and you take no battle damage.
- Use this card with cards like "Giant Rat", "Giant Germ" or "Nimble Momonga" and attack with them, activating their effects, while taking no battle damage.
- Use this card with "Gellenduo" and/or "The Sanctuary in the Sky" for an invincible defense.
