Synchro Summoning
Note: All of these tips can also be used to Summon "Cosmic Blazar Dragon".
- "Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow" can Summon this card without using a normal summon if "Level Eater" is in the Graveyard.
- Special Summon "Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow" with its own effect. Do NOT summon tokens.
- Use "Armageddon Knight", "Dark Grepher", "Foolish Burial", etc. to get "Level Eater" into the Graveyard.
- Special Summon "Level Eater" by reducing the Level of "Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow" to 4.
- Synchro Summon "Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm".
- Special Summon "Level Eater" by reducing the Level of "Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm" to 4.
- Synchro Summon "Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm" and use its effect to Special Summon another copy of it from the Graveyard..
- Special Summon "Level Eater" by reducing the Level of the "Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm" that is currently a Tuner monster to 4.
- Synchro Summon "Accel Synchron".
- Use its effect to send "Jet Synchron" to the Graveyard and increase its Level by 1.

Cards such as "Unknown Synchron" and "Salvage Warrior" also helps this type of Deck to Summon this card quickly.

- Special Summon "The Fabled Nozoochee" by discarding "The Fabled Ganashia".

- In a Plant Deck, this card can be Summoned in one turn if you have "Lonefire Blossom" and "Soul Charge" in your hand.
- Normal Summon "Lonefire Blossom" and Tribute it to Special Summon another "Lonefire" from your Deck. Then, Tribute the second "Lonefire" to Special Summon "Dandylion" from your Deck.
- Activate "Soul Charge" and Special Summon the two "Lonefires" from your Graveyard.
- Use one of the "Lonefire Blossoms" to tribute "Dandylion" and Special Summon "Spore" from your Deck, while Special Summoning two "Fluff Tokens".
- Use "Spore" and a "Fluff Token" to Synchro Summon a Level 2 Tuner Synchro Monster.
- Special Summon "Spore" from your Graveyard by its own effect, by banishing "Dandylion".
- Use the effect of the second "Lonefire" and Tribute itself to Special Summon a Level 2 Plant-Type Tuner (such as "Nettles" or "Naturia Cosmobeet") from your Deck.
- Use "Spore" and the second "Fluff Token" to Synchro Summon a Level 5 Synchro Monster.
- Use "Nettles" and "Lonefire Blossom" to Synchro Summon a second Level 5 Synchro Monster,
- Use the Level 2 Tuner Synchro Monster and the two Level 5 Synchro Monsters to Synchro Summon this card.
- You can Synchro Summon two copies of this card and "Herald of the Arc Light" if you have just "Uni-Zombie" and "Level Eater" in your hand:
- Normal Summon "Uni-Zombie" and use it's effect twice, first discarding "Level Eater" to make it Level 4, then send "Mezuki" from your Deck to the Graveyard to make it Level 5.
- Revive "Level Eater" by reducing "Uni-Zombie" to Level 4.
- Synchro Summon "Denglong, Origin of the Yang Zing" with Uni-Zombie and Level Eater.
- Use the effect of "Denglong" to search "Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing".
- Reduce "Denglong" to Level 4 to revive "Level Eater" again.
- Synchro Summon "Accel Synchron" with "Denglong" and "Level Eater".
- Use the second effect of "Denglong" to special Summon "Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing".
- Use the effect of "Accel Synchron" to send "Jet Synchron" from your Deck to your Graveyard and increase it to Level 6.
- Special Summon "Level Eater" by reducing "Zefraniu" to Level 5.
- Synchro Summon "Ancient Fairy Dragon" by using Accel Synchron and Level Eater.
- Use the effect of "Ancient Fairy Dragon" to special Summon "Suanni" from your hand.
- Use the effect of "Mezuki" in your Graveyard to revive "Uni-Zombie" from your Graveyard.
- Synchro Summon "Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing" by using Uni-Zombie and "Zefraniu".
- Use the effect of "Baxia" to destroy "Suanni" and revive "Jet Synchron" from your Graveyard, then use the effect of "Suanni" to special Summon "Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing" from your deck.
- Synchro Summon "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon" by using "Jet Synchron" and "Ancient Fairy Dragon".
- Revive "Level Eater" again by reducing "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon" to Level 7.
- Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron" with Level Eater and "Chiwen", and draw 1 card.
- Discard the drawn card from "Formula Synchron" to revive "Jet Synchron".
- Synchro sSummon "T.G. Blade Blaster" with "Formula Synchron" and "Baxia".
- Revive "Level Eater" again by reducing "T.G. Blaze Blaster" to Level 9.
- Synchro Summon "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" with Level Eater and Jet Synchron.
- Use the effect of "Dragonfly" to de-synchro "Blade Blaster" back to "Formula Synchron" and "Baxia".
- Revive Level Eater again by reducing "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon" to Level 6.
- Use "Baxia" to revive "Chiwen" by destroying "Level Eater".
- Synchro Summon "T.G. Halberd Cannon" by using "Baxia", "Dragonfly", and "Formula Synchron".
- Revive Level Eater again by reducing the Level of this card to Level 11.
- Synchro Summon a second copy of "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" by using Level Eater and Chiwen.
- De-synchro "T.G. Halberd Cannon" with Dragonfly to revive "Formula Synchron", your other "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly", and "Baxia".
- Synchro Summon T.G. Blade Blaster again by using your Level 6 "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon", "Formula Synchron", and your used "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly".
- Use your unused "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" to de-synchro "T.G. Blade Blaster" again, reviving Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon (at Level 8), Formula Synchron, and the other "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly".
- Synchro Summon this card by using "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon", "Formula Synchron", and your used "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly".
- Revive Level Eater again by reducing this card to Level 11.
- Use "Baxia" to revive "Formula Synchron" from your Graveyard by destroying Level Eater.
- Synchro Summon "T.G. Blade Blaster" again by using "Baxia" and "Formula Synchron".
- Use your unused "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" to de-synchro "T.G. Blade Blaster" again to revive "Formula Synchron" and "Baxia" again.
- Revive Level Eater again by reducing this card to Level 10.
- Use the effect of "Baxia" to destroy Level Eater and revive "Uni-Zombie".
- Synchron Summon the second copy of this card by using "Dragonfly", "Formula", and "Baxia".
- Revive Level Eater one last time by reducing the Quasar you had on the field to Level 9, or your newly-Summoned one to Level 11.
- Synchro Summon "Herald of the Arc Light" by using "Uni-Zombie" and "Level Eater".
- After you negate a card or effect by tributing "Herald of the Arc Light", you can use its last effect to search "Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended" to possibly negate another effect.
- After Synchro Summoning this card, use "Soul Charge" to revive all of its Synchro Materials and Synchro Summon another copy of this card, or "T.G. Halberd Cannon"/"Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon"/"Cosmic Blazar Dragon"
General Tips
- Use this card with "Interdimensional Matter Transporter", "Wattpheasant" or "Dimensionhole" in order to Summon a free "Shooting Star Dragon".
- If you activate "Shadow Impulse" when this card is destroyed by battle or card effect, you can Special Summon a "Red Nova Dragon" or "Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity" in addition to the "Shooting Star Dragon" you get from the final effect of this card.
- In a "Nekroz" Deck, use the effect of "Nekroz Kaleidoscope" to send this card from your Extra Deck to your Graveyard and Ritual Summon 2 copies of "Nekroz of Brionac". Overlay them to Xyz Summon "Inzektor Exa-Beetle", and use its effect to equip this card in your Graveyard to it. Not only will "Exa-Beetle have 3000 ATK and DEF, but when this card leaves the field, you can Special Summon "Shooting Star Dragon" from your Extra Deck. You can even send this card to the Graveyard yourself with the effect of "Exa-Beetle".
Countering
- "Lava Golem", "Volcanic Queen", "Santa Claws", and any "Kaiju" monster are very good against this card. Not only will they get around its negation effect, they will also prevent it from Summoning "Shooting Star Dragon" by making it miss the timing.
- "Lose 1 Turn" can potentially prevent this card from being Summoned, as it needs many monsters to be Special Summoned beforehand and those monsters may rely on activating their effects at some point. Also, even if this card is Synchro Summoned, you can get rid of it by using any removal card, like "Bottomless Trap Hole", "Compulsory Evacuation Device", etc.; since "Lose 1 Turn" will be continuously negating this card's effects during the turn it is Summoned, it will not be able to negate any of those cards.
- "Number C101: Silent Honor DARK" can be used to attach this card as an Xyz Material. Even if this card negates its effect and destroys it, it will Special Summon itself and then its controller will be able to activate its effect again.
- "Night Dragolich" can single-handedly get rid of this card. Since its effects are Continuous, they won't be negated by this card; coupled with the loss of its DEF, "Night Dragolich" will be able to destroy it by battle, as well as the "Shooting Star Dragon" Special Summoned afterwards.
- "Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman" will prevent this card from activating either of its effects.
Traditional Format
- If you have "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth", "Mausoleum of the Emperor" (or Terraforming to search Mausoleum of the Emperor) and 2 other cards in your hand:
- Activate "Mausoleum" and use it to normal summon Coelacanth by paying 2000 life points.
- Then, use the effect of "Coelacanth", discarding 1 card to special summon "Fishborg Blaster" and 3 other level 1 Fish-Type Monsters from your deck.
- Tune Fishborg with one of the level 1 fish monsters to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron" and draw 1 card.
- Discard the drawn card from "Formula Synchron" to revive "Fishborg" and tune it with another of the level 1 monsters to make "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly".
- Discard your last card to revive "Fishborg" again, and tune it with Coelacanth to synchro summon any level 8 Synchro monster.
- Finally, tune the Level 8 Synchro monster with "Formula Synchron" and "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" to Synchro Summon this card.
- Alternatively, you can use "Star Blast" in place of "Mausoleum of the Emperor" to reduce the Level of "Coelacanth" to Level 4 and Synchro Summon this card by Summoning 2 Level 5 Synchro monsters and "Formula Synchron" using "Fishborg Blaster" instead.
- Use "Super Polymerization" to get rid of this card, by using it as Fusion Material for "Elder Entity Norden", "El Shaddoll Construct", "Elemental HERO The Shining", "Gem-Knight Seraphinite", "Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste", "Amulet Dragon", etc.
