Card Tips:Shooting Quasar Dragon

• This card can be Synchro Summoned through various means, for example:
  • In a T.G. Deck, It is possible to Summon it through the use of 1 "T.G. Wonder Magician", 1 "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" and 1 "T.G. Hyper Librarian".
  • Yusei-themed Decks can Summon this card using many different combinations, such as 2 "Junk Warrior" and 1 "Formula Synchron" or "Junk Gardna", "Turbo Warrior", or "Drill Warrior" with "Armory Arm" and "Formula Synchron". Cards such as "Glow-Up Bulb" (Traditional Format), "Unknown Synchron", and "Salvage Warrior" also helps this type of Deck to summon "Shooting Quasar Dragon" quickly.
  • It IS possible to one turn quasar in a Fabled deck but it's a feat to pull off. Special summon "The Fabled Nozoochee" by discarding "The Fabled Ganashia". Special summon "The Fabled Cerburrel" through "The Fabled Nozoochee"'s effect. Special summon "The Fabled Chawa" by discarding "Fabled Lurrie". Normal summon "Fabled Kushano". Synch "The Fabled Nozoochee" with "The Fabled Cerburrel" for "Armory Arm". Synch "The Fabled Ganashia" and "Fabled Kushano" for any lvl 6 synchro monster. Sych "The Fabled Chawa" and "Fabled Lurrie" for "Formula Synchron". 2+6+4=12
  • In a Morphtronic deck you can use 2 "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" and a Life Stream Dragon
  • With the release of "Molten Transmission Field", you can easily special summon this card in a "Laval" deck. First, activate Transmission field and send "Laval Magma Cannoneer" and "Laval Volcano Handmaiden" to the graveyard. Use Handmaiden's effect to dump another Handmaiden to the Graveyard, then repeat this once more. Using the third Handmaiden's effect, send another Magma Cannoneer to the Graveyard. Activate "Rekindling", special summoning all five monsters. Tune the first and second Tenders with the two Magma Cannoneers to Synchro summon two level 5 Synchro monsters. Then, special summon "Boost Warrior" from the hand or activate "Searing Fire Wall" to Summon one "Laval Token" and use it to tune with the third Tender to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron". After that, use all three Synchro monsters to Synchro Summon this card, all without Normal Summoning once this turn.
  • This card can easily be synchro summoned on your first turn. If you have a "Quickdraw Synchron", "Level Eater", and a "Synchron Explorer" in your hand, you start by special summoning quickdraw synchron by discarding level eater. Then use level eater's effect to special summon it from the graveyard. next tune quickdraw synchron to level eater to synchro summon "Junk Warrior". Summon "Synchron Explorer" and revive "Quickdraw Synchron". Special Summon "Level Eater" (decrease "Junk Warrior's" level), and Synchro Summon "Road Warrior". Use its effect to summon a level 1 tuner monster. Decease "Road Warrior's" level to special summon "Level Eater" and Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron". Decrease "Road Warrior's" level again to special summon "Level Eater". "Road Warrior" is now level 6, "Junk Warrior": level 4, and "Formula Synchron" level 2.
  • Your can also use the following combo:
    • Using "Junk Synchron", Special Summon a Level 1 Tuner Monster.
    • Special Summon "Doppelwarrior" with its effect.
    • Use Junk and Doppel to Synchro Summon "T.G. Hyper Librarian", getting 2 Doppel Tokens.
    • Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron", drawing 2 cards (Librarian + Formula).
    • Discard Level Eater to summon Quickdraw Synchron.
    • Reduce the level of Quickdraw Synchron to Special Summon Level Eater.
    • Use Quickdraw Synchron and Level Eater to Synchro Summon Junk Warrior, drawing 1 card from "T.G. Hyper Librarian"s effect.
    • Use "T.G. Hyper Librarian", Junk Warrior and Formula Synchron to Synchro Summon Shooting Quasar Dragon.
  • Another really easy way to summon this card is with the following combo: Have "Junk Synchron", "Doppelwarrior", and "Junk Servant" in your hand with "Glow-Up Bulb" (Unused) in your Graveyard. Normal "Junk Synchron" reviving "Bulb" and Special Summon "Doppelwarrior" with its own effect. Then Special Summon "Junk Servant". Tune "Bulb" with "Servant" for "T.G. Hyper Librarian". Then Tune "Junk Synchron" with "Doppelwarrior" for "Junk Warrior"/"Ally of Justice Catastor", and draw a card with "Librarian's" effect and Special Summon two level 1 tokens on the field with "Doppelwarrior's" effect. Now revive "Bulb" with its effect, and tune it with a "Doppel Token" for "Formula Synchron". Draw two cards with "Librarian's" and "Formula's" effect. Then finally tune "Formula Synchron" with "T.G. Hyper Librarian" and "Junk Warrior"/"Ally of Justice Catastor". If this is successful, you will have "Shooting Quasar Dragon", a Doppel token, and at least 3 cards in your hand.
  • If your opponent controls a monster(s) and you control no monsters, you can Synchro Summon this monster in one turn if your hand contains the following: "Unknown Synchron", "Boost Warrior", "Machine Duplication", "Goblindbergh", and any Level 4 non-Tuner monster.
    • 1) Special summon "Unknown Synchron" via its effect. Activate "Machine Duplication" to special summon 2 more from your deck. (NOTE: The other copies MUST be in your deck for this to work.)
    • 2) Normal summon "Goblindbergh" and use its effect to special summon the Level 4 non-tuner from your hand.
    • 3) Tune 1 "Unknown" with "Goblindbergh" for "T.G. Hyper Librarian".
    • 4) Tune another "Unknown" with the Level 4 non-Tuner for any Level 5 Synchro Monster. Draw 1 card via the effect of "Hyper Librarian".
    • 5) Special Summon "Boost Warrior" via its effect. Tune it with the last "Unknown" for "Formula Synchron". Draw 2 cards with its effect and the effect of "Hyper Librarian".
    • 6) Tune "Formula", "Hyper Librarian", and the Level 5 Synchro Monster to summon "Shooting Quasar Dragon".
  • With the above strategy, some cards can be substituted for others.
    • You can substitute "Goblindbergh" and the Level 4 non-Tuner with "Summoner Monk" and a Spell Card to discard for its effect. If you have "Phantom Skyblaster" in your hand, you will need 1 less card for this combo, since this card has an effect to summon a Level 4 token when it is normal summoned.
    • You can substitute "Machine Duplication" with "Inferno Reckless Summon", provided that the monster(s) your opponent controls are face-up.
    • You can substitute "Boost Warrior" with "Turbo Booster" or "Jester Confit".
  • If you open with "Unknown Synchron", "Quickdraw Synchron", "Foolish Burial", "Level Eater", and "Monster Reborn": Send Level Eater to the Graveyard to Special Summon Quickdraw, Special Summon Eater (Reduce Quickdraw to 4), Synch for "Junk Warrior". Normal Summon Unknown Synchron, Foolish Burial "Dandylion" for 2 Lvl. 1 Tokens. Synch Unknown and 1 token for Formula. Special Summon Eater (Reduce Junk to 4), Reborn Quickdraw, Synch Quickdraw with either Eater or the remaining token for "Drill Warrior ". Synch Quasar with Formula, Junk, and Drill (1 Eater or Token leftover).
  • Interestingly, this card can be summoned in an Infernity Deck using just "Infernity Mirage" and a few cards from your graveyard. Do not use "T.G. Hyper Librarian" for the level 5 synchro monster.
    • 1) Use Mirage to summon 2 "Infernity Necromancer". Then use both Necromancer to summon "Infernity Archfiend" and "Infernity Avenger".
    • 2) Tune "Archfiend", "Avenger" and "Necro" for "Hundred-Eyes Dragon". Use Hundred-Eyes to copy "Mirage's" effect ("Mirage" is now banished).
    • 3) Tribute the Dragon and summon another 2 "Necromancer"s. Use one Necromancer to summon "Infernity Beetle" and the other to summon "Infernity Randomizer".
    • 4) Overlay 2 Necromancers for "Leviair the Sea Dragon" and use its effect to summon "Mirage".
    • 5) Tune your remaining "Necromancer" with "Beetle" to summon a level 5 synchro monster.
    • 6) Use "Mirage" to summon "Necromancer" and "Avenger".
    • 7) Tune "Avenger" and "Randomizer" for "Formula Synchron" (DO NOT DRAW!).
    • 8) Use the effect of "Necromancer" to summon "Beetle". Tune for another level 5 synchro monster.
    • 9) Finally use "Formula" and the two level 5 to synchro monsters summon this card.
  • Use One for One, send Tuningware to the graveyard and special summon Effect Veiler.
    • Now summon Junk Synchron and bring back Tuningware. Synchro Effect Veiler with Tuningware and summon Formula Synchron. Discard Plaguespreader Zombie and Special Summon Quickdraw Synchron. Use Monster Reborn and bring back Tuningware. Special Summon Turbo Warrior. Send Junk Synchron to the graveyard and Special Summon Turret Warrior. Use Star Blast and reduce Turret Warriors level by 3. Return the card in your hand to the top of your deck and special summon Plaguespreader Zombie. Synchro PLaguespreder Zombie with Turret warrior and Special Summon Armory Arm. Now Sychro Summon with Formula Synchron, Turbo Warrior, And Armory Arm to summon Shooting Quasar Dragon.
• After release of "Falling Current", this card is far more easier to summon in Synchro deck using "Formula Synchron", "Stardust Dragon" (or another level 8 Synchro monster) and any Synchro monster. Use "Current" on third Synchro monster, make its Level 2, and Synchro summon this card.

• Use this card with "Interdimensional Matter Transporter", "Wattpheasant, or "Dimensionhole" in order to summon a free "Shooting Star Dragon" while keeping another powerful Synchro monster.

• When summoning this card, it is likely that you will incur a significant loss of hand advantage, so be sure to run a copy of "Pot of Avarice" to recover the lost Synchro materials, and "T.G. Hyper Librarian" and "Formula Synchron" to draw extra cards while summoning this monster.

• "Armory Arm" is a great card for this monster's Material, since it is a low-Level monster and can piggyback on a stronger monster to keep it alive between turns.

• Use this card against Monarch, Dragunity, Junk Decks, and other archetypes that are heavily dependent on Normal Summoning monsters to gain effects.

• This card can create a mini-lockdown when played with "T.G. Halberd Cannon", as you will be able to negate the first summon and first effect the opponent plays each turn, meaning that they will have to sacrifice many cards to remove the monsters from the field.
  • By adding "Flying Fortress SKY FIRE" you can negate the first summon, set, and effect.

• "Star Siphon" can help in summoning this card.
  • Or you can use "Star Siphon" on this card and then equip it with "Opti-Camouflage Armor" for an OTK.

• If this card is on your field and you have 3 copies of any Level 1 monster, special summon it, then activate "Inferno Reckless Summon" and special summon 2 more copies of the monster. Overlay the 3 Level 1 monsters to Xyz Summon "Baby Tiragon". Target "Shooting Quasar Dragon" with "Falling Current" and change its Level to 1 for an OTK.

• If "Level Eater" is in your grave, your opponent controls a face-up monster, you can Synchro Summon this card with 3 attacks if you have these cards in you hand: "Quickdraw Synchron"(+2 more in deck/grave), "Falling Current," "Dandylion," "Inferno Reckless Summon," and any generic Level 1 Tuner.
  • 1) Discard "Dandylion" to special summon "Quickdraw." Activate "Inferno Reckless Summon" to special summon 2 more from the deck and/or grave. The effect of "Dandylion" activates, and two tokens are special summoned.
  • 2) Tune 1 "Quickdraw" with 1 token for "Drill Warrior."
  • 3) Activate the effect of "Level Eater," and reduce the Level of one "Quickdraw" by 1. Tune the level 4 "Quickdraw" with "Eater" for "Junk Warrior".
  • 4) Reduce the level of the last "Quickdraw" by 1 with "Eater." Tune them for a second "Junk Warrior".
  • 5) Activate the effect of "Eater" and target 1 "Junk Warrior." Normal Summon the Level 1 Tuner and tune it with "Eater" for "Formula Synchron." Draw 1 card.
  • 6) Activate "Eater's" effect and target the other "Junk Warrior."
  • 7) Activate "Falling Current" and make the Level of "Drill Warrior" 2. Tune Both "Junk Warriors"(4+4), "Drill Warrior"(2), and "Formula Synchron"(2) for "Shooting Quasar Dragon."

• This card can attack 4 times using "Formula Synchron", 3 "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" and "Armory Arm" as the Synchro Material monsters.

• Use "Level Eater" in order to alter the level of Synchro Monsters on your side of the field to make summoning this card easier.

• Because this card can only negate one Spell/Trap/Monster effect once per turn, it is important to have a face-down such as "Solemn Judgment", in case your opponent has more than one dangerous effect they can use on the same turn.

• Equip this card with "Silver Wing" and you will be ridiculously hard to stop. It would take either 2 destruction effects or 3 attacks from a monster(s) with over 4000 ATK and even if your opponent somehow pulls that off, they'd still have to deal with your "Shooting Star Dragon" which is still hard to destroy even though it's not as powerful as this card.

Traditional Format

• Psychic Decks can Summon this easily by using either "Telekinetic Power Well" or "Taciturn Psychic Priest" with "Mind Master" and Synchro Summoning 2 "Magical Android" and then Tuning "Mind Master" with "Doctor Cranium".
• You can Synchro Summon this card easily if you have "Dandylion" and "Quickdraw Synchron" in your Hand and "Spore", "Glow-Up Bulb" and "Quillbolt Hedgehog" in your Graveyard.
• Or "Junk Synchron" and "Doppel Warrior" in your Hand and "Spore" and "Dandylion" in your Graveyard.
• In a Flamvell deck: Use "One for One" to discard "Dandylion" and summon "Glow-up Bulb" from your deck. Tune your "Glow-Up Bulb" to a Fluff Token to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron". Then, use the effect of "Glow-Up Bulb" to revive itself, and tune it to the second Fluff Token to Summon "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly". Then you can tune "Flamvell Firedog" to "Flamvell Magician" to Synchro Summon a Level 8 monster(either by "Rekindling" or Firedog's search effect), and proceed to Synchro this card.
• You could even use "Stardust Dragon" with "Formula Synchron" and "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly"; use the synchro material monsters in the graveyard from "Formula Synchron" to summon "Recipiro Dragonfly", and since they'd probably be level 1 each, you could use two "Graceful Revival" to summon them.
  • You could even summon this card in your first turn with "One for One", "Debris Dragon" and "Dandylion" in your hand and "Glow-Up Bulb" in your deck. Discard "Dandylion" to activate "One for One" to summon "Glow-Up Bulb" from your deck and summon 2 tokens via "Dandylion"'s effect. Next, normal summon "Debris Dragon" and use its effect to summon "Dandylion" from graveyard. Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron" using "Glow-Up Bulb" and 1 token; draw 1 card via "Formula Synchron"'s effect. Synchro Summon a level 8 Dragon-Type Synchro monster like "Stardust Dragon" or "Red Dragon Archfiend" using "Debris Dragon", "Dandylion" and 1 token; summon 2 more tokens. Special summon "Glow-Up Bulb" from graveyard via its own effect. Synchro Summon "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" using "Glow-Up Bulb" and 1 token. Finally, Synchro Summon this card using "Formula Synchron", a level 8 Dragon-Type Synchro Monster and "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly".
• Another way to summon this is by having one "Lonefire Blossom", one "Monster Reborn" and one "Quickdraw Synchron" in your hand. Normal summon Lonefire blossom and tribute Lonefire for Dandylion. Then activate "Monster Reborn", reviving "Lonefire Blossom". Activate Lonefire Blossom's effect again by tributing Dandylion and special summon "Glow-Up Bulb". Then discard a monster to special summon quickdraw from your hand. Synchro Quickdraw with one of the tokens for either "Turbo Warrior" or "Drill Warrior", then synchro bulb with lonefire to synchro summon "Armory Arm". Activate bulb effect to special summon itself and then synchro with your final token to synchro summon "Formula Synchron". Then Synchro armory arm, formula Synchron and "Turbo Warrior"/"Drill Warrior" to bring out this card.
