- You can remove from play "Infernal Dragon" for Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon before its effect destroys it.
- You can use "Allure of Darkness" and remove Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from play and bring it back with "D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation" or "Escape from the Dark Dimension". This gives you a chance to draw more dragons.
- You can use "Painful Choice"(in Traditional Format),Foolish Burial or "Future Fusion" to send dragons to the Graveyard to revive them or a Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon to be picked up to your hand via Monster Reincarnation or Herald of Creation.
- You can activate "Scapegoat" and "DNA Surgery" on your opponents turn to create 4 Sheep Tokens (Dragon-Type) and then Remove one of them on your next turn to Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon".
- You can also use "Foolish Burial" and send "Dandylion" from your Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon 2 "Fluff Tokens" while "DNA Surgery" is active (changed types to Dragon-Type) and remove 1 to Special Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", revive another Dragon-Type and attack during that same turn (The "Fluff Tokens" will not allow Tributing for Tribute Summon, but can be removed or Tributed for a Special Summon).
- You can use this card's effect to Special Summon "Infernal Dragon" or "Exploder Dragon" from your Graveyard after their effect sends them to the Graveyard.
- Using "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", you can Special Summon almost any high level Dragon-type monster you want, albeit, the monster does not have any summoning restrictions.
- After dumping your 5 Dragons for "Five-Headed Dragon", sending 5 powerful dragons to the grave, summon a dragon and remove it to special summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon". Then start the dragon revival from your grave.
- An alternative use for "Five-Headed Dragon" to get this card out first turn is to use "Future Fusion" and send this and "Red-Eyes Wyvern" along with three other strong Dragons. You can revive this during End Phase and start reviving next turn to make an early push.
- It would be wise to use Future Fusion to send 3 The White Stone of Legends to the graveyard along with Red-Eyes Wyvern and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to the graveyard. During that turn, Use the effect of Red-Eyes Wyvern to Special Summon Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, then use the effect of Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to special summon one of the 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons from your hand that you got when you pitched the 3 The White Stone of Legends from your deck. That way you have a 2800 ATK monster and a 3000 ATK monster on the field all because of Future Fusion. And two turns later, you'll have the mighty Five-Headed Dragon along with your Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Blue-Eyes White Dragon and any other powerful Dragons that you may have summoned in those two turns.
- By "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" effect, you can special summon "Felgrand Dragon" or "Darkblaze Dragon" from the graveyard to activate their effects.
- This card can make it easy to special summon "Tyrant Dragon".

- Use "Deep Diver" 's effect to place "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" on top of deck then you'll just draw him next turn or with Monster Gate you can summon it quickly.
- This card makes great use of Trade-In to get a Dark Horus into the Graveyard. If you do this, you get 2 dragons with 2800+ ATK each.
- This card can be special summoned by King Dragun's effect to give you an extra special summon. If you have a Prime Material Dragon in hand or the graveyard, you can protect all three monsters fairly well and have two free special summons a turn.
- Use "Future Fusion" to set up for a win easily by sending this card, a few level six dragons, such as "Prime Material Dragon", and "Magna Drago" by selecting "Five-Headed Dragon". Use "Monster Reincarnation" to add this card back to your hand then summon a Dragon to remove for it or Special Summon it to the field with "Monster Reborn" instead.
- Be careful of "Zombie World's" effect,as it will make this card's effect useless because it will change every monster(s) on the field and in the Graveyard into Zombie-type.
- Note that this card can be summoned as early as the first turn, and as easily as simply removing a "Troop Dragon" from play. Take advantage of this.
- Use "Fires of Doomsday" it is very flexible you can use as a tribute for "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" or with "DNA Surgery" you can then use it' own effect to special summon itself.
- For the reason that this monster can't "special summon" a copy of itself,use other revival cards like "The Creator","Dark Creator","Spear Cretin","Decoy Dragon","Monster Reborn"(in Traditional Format),Call of the Haunted and "The Shallow Grave".
