- This card can work well in any Dragon Deck. Equipping this card to a Dragon-Type monster will cause it to gain 500 extra ATK automatically.
- "Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon" is a very good monster to equip this card to, not only due to its partial protection from card effects, but also because it can inflict doubled piercing damage.
- If a "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon" or "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" is equipped with this card, it will have at least 5500 ATK ("Red-Eyes") or 6100 ATK ("Blue-Eyes").
- Use "Dragon Shrine" or "Dragon Ravine" to send more Dragon-Type monsters to the Graveyard to power up the monster equipped with this card.
- In a Toon Deck that uses mainly Dragon monsters, a Toon Monster equipped with this card can easily OTK the opponent.
- Equip this card to "Dark Paladin" or "Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman" for an added massive increase in ATK.
- Use cards like "Forbidden Chalice" or "Skill Drain" to keep this card on the field instead of equipping it and set up for a Rank 7 Xyz Summon.
- The easiest way to use this card as a monster instead of equipping it to another monster is to Summon it while having no other monsters for it to target.
- Equip this card to "Archfiend Black Skull Dragon" in order to make a high ATK monster that cannot be stopped once it attacks.
- With "Dragon's Rage" also in play, one attack on a Defense Position Monster will result in an OTK.
- This card is a great choice to be equipped to "Gearfried the Swordmaster"/"Phoenix Gearfried". If you are facing off a Dragon Deck, (or you could mix "Gearfried" with a Dragon Archetype), this card as an Equip Card would fulfill "Gearfried's" effect as well as worth all the Dragons that have been used at Duel.
- Ironically, Joey Wheeler used this strategy against Rex Raptor at Episode 161
- Equip this card to Mirage Dragon to instantly create a 3.600 ATK beatstick that is not affected by traps during the battle phase, and increase it's ATK even more by summoning other Dragons.
- Keep in mind that while Mirage Dragon is on field you can also equip a stronger monster you control since the trap denying works regardless of the attacking monster.
- Strong Wind Dragon becomes very dangerous while equiped with this card especially if it's ATK have been previously increased by it's own effect.
- This card works extremely well with "Five-Headed Dragon", assuming the monster was properly Fusion summoned. With 5 dragons in the graveyard plus this card's inherent 1,500 ATK boost, "Five-Headed Dragon's" attack will instantly jump to over 10,000.
Traditional Format
- Equipping this card to "Victory Dragon" will give it at least 1500 ATK. Keep in mind that that Monster can be Normal Summoned without any Tributes via "Star Blast".
- However, it's best to set up your Graveyard, partially through "Victory Dragon's" Summoning Conditions, to get the most out of this card's effect.
