- This card is useful in any Deck using Xyz Monsters (and with the playability/easy Summoning of Xyz Monsters, your opponent will likely have 1 or more).
- Highly useful against Xyz monsters that requires at least two Xyz materials to be detached to activate their effect. E.g. "Evolzar Laggia" and "Heroic Champion - Excalibur".
- If there are at least three Monsters in the Banished Zone, then you can use "Burial from a Different Dimension" to return "Overlay Eater" (and two any other monsters) back to the Graveyard to reuse its effect.
- This is card best used with Xyz monsters who are forced to detach materials during end phases, such as "Tiras, Keeper of Genesis" and "Number 86: Heroic Champion - Rhongomiant".
