- "Gimmick Puppet" is now capable of a 1-card summon of this card, by opening with "Gimmick Puppet Little Soldiers". Have it send "Gimmick Puppet Bloody Doll" from the Deck to the Graveyard and change its own Level to 8; this in turn lets you add the sent "Bloody Doll" to the hand and Special Summon it from the hand by revealing this card in your Extra Deck. In turn, "Bloody Doll" also summons another Level 8 "Gimmick Puppet" monster from your Deck.
- While an empty backrow is required for this card to use its effect, it does not prevent you from Setting Spell/Trap Cards or using Spell/Trap Cards that stay on the field. Assuming you use this card's effect immediately after summoning it, you only need to clear your backrow once or twice in order for this card to win you the duel on the second of your subsequent turns.
- Note that this card only requires your Spell & Trap Zones to be empty for its effect. The on-theme Field Spell Card "Mansion of the Underworld Dolls" helps protect this card against non-Xyz Monsters' effects.
- For almost-guaranteed protection, use the Graveyard effect of "Condolence Puppet" to make it immune to destruction.
- In the unlikely event that your opponent will attempt to attack this card, use cards such as "Waboku", "Threatening Roar" and "Electromagnetic Turtle".
Defenses against this card[]
These include:
- Negating its effect, as this will remove any counters it has already generated. Using "Swords of Concealing Light" or "Book of Eclipse" also works.
- Detaching its material before it can use its effect to do so, via "Space Cyclone" or "Overlay Eater"
- Removing this card from the field by non-destruction, non-targeting means, such as Tributing it for a "Kaiju", using it as Fusion Material via "Super Polymerization", or attacking it with "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole", "Eater of Millions" or "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".
