Card Tips:Noble Knight Medraut

• This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Ignoble Knight of High Laundsallyn", "Merlin", "Soul Rope", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", "Summoner Monk", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Chaos Zone", "Photon Veil", "Freed the Matchless General", "Field-Commander Rahz", "Reinforcement of the Army", "Gaia, the Polar Knight" and "Exchange of Night and Day".

• Summon this card and equip it with either "Noble Arms - Caliburn" or "Noble Arms - Arfeudutyr". Use the effect of that Equip Card (if possible), then if you control no monsters, use this card's effect to Special Summon a "Noble Knight" monster from your Deck. When the equipped "Noble Arms" card is destroyed by this card's effect, re-equip it to this card or the Special Summoned monster, and use the effect of the "Noble Arms" card again (if possible).

Specific Special Summoning Tips

• "Ignoble Knight of Black Laundsallyn": After Special Summoning this card, if "Medraut" is equipped with a "Noble Arms" card, you can Xyz Summon a Rank 5 monster using both monsters.
  • If Medraut is unequipped (because the "Noble Arms" card Medraut destroyed was unable to equip to Medraut again), you can Tribute Laundsallyn by its own effect to search a "Noble Arms" card from your Deck, equipping it to Medraut to give it further protection. This can also allow Medraut to activate its effect next turn, if you control no other monsters.

• "Noble Knight Artorigus": After Special Summoning this card, re-equip the "Noble Arms" Equip Card that Medraut destroyed to it (if applicable). Xyz Summon a Rank 4 monster with it and Medraut (assuming Medraut has no other "Noble Arms" Equip Cards equipped to it), then detach Artorigus for that monster's effect. Doing so will set-up plays for the effect of "Lady of the Lake".

• "Noble Knight Borz": After this card is Special Summoned, re-equip the "Noble Arms" Equip Card that "Medraut" destroyed to it (if applicable). If you did, use the effect of Borz to search a "Noble Arms" card and equip that card to Medraut to make it Level 5 again (if it wasn't already equipped with any other "Noble Arms" cards). Then, you can Xyz Summon any Rank 5 monster with this card and Borz.
  • Xyz Summoning "Sacred Noble Knight of King Artorigus" afterwards is highly advantageous, since you can equip the other "Noble Arms" cards that Borz sent to the Graveyard, via its effect.
  • Alternatively, if you have "Noble Knight Gawayn" in your hand and Medraut is unequipped after you've used the effect of Borz, you can Special Summon Gawayn and then use it and Medraut to Xyz Summon "Artorigus, King of the Noble Knights", taking advantage of the "Noble Arms" Equip Spell Cards Borz sent to the Graveyard.

• "Noble Knight Drystan": After this card is Special Summoned, re-equip the "Noble Arms" Equip Card that Medraut destroyed to it (if applicable). If you did, this will activate the effect of Drystan, destroying a face-up card on the field. Be warned that if your opponent controls no face-up cards, you will have to destroy one of your own.
  • Drystan can also protect Medraut with its effect afterwards. If it happens to be destroyed, you can always re-equip the "Noble Arms" Equip Cards from it to Medraut, giving Medraut some protection even afterwards. But be warned that while you control Drystan (or any other monster), you will not be able to use the effect of Medraut.

• "Noble Knight Gwalchavad": After this card is Special Summoned, re-equip the "Noble Arms" Equip Card that Medraut destroyed to it (if applicable). If you did, use the effect of Gwalchavad, but keep in mind that if you destroy the "Noble Arms" card that was re-equipped to it from Medraut, that "Noble Arms" card will not be able to re-equip itself (since it was already destroyed once this turn).
  • Alternatively, if you have "Noble Knight Gawayn" in your hand, you can Special Summon it from your hand before you use the effect of Gwalchavad (assuming Medraut is no longer equipped with any "Noble Arms" Equip Cards). Xyz Summon a Rank 4 monster with Gawayn and Medraut, then detach Gawayn from the Xyz Monster to activate its effect. Then use the effect of Gwalchavad, adding Gawayn back to your hand and destroying the "Noble Arms" Equip Card equipped to it. Assuming Gwalchavad doesn't have any other "Noble Arms" cards equipped to it, Special Summon Gawayn from your hand and Xyz Summon another Rank 4 monster.
    • If you Xyz Summon a total of 2 "Blade Armor Ninja" and/or "Heroic Champion - Excalibur" this way, an OTK can be had.

• "Noble Knight Eachtar": If you have a sufficient amount of "Noble Arms" Equip Spell Cards in your Graveyard, Special Summon this card, then Xyz Summon any Rank 5 monster with it and Medraut. This is especially effective when Summoning "Sacred Noble Knight of King Artorigus", as this card's effect prevents your opponent from negating that monster's Summon or Chaining to that monster's equipping effect.

• "Noble Knight Bedwyr": If you have less than 3 "Noble Arms" Equip Spell Cards in your Graveyard, Special Summon this card and re-equip the "Noble Arms" Equip Card that Medraut destroyed to it (if applicable). Then, use its effect to add an additional "Noble Arms" Equip Spell Card to your Graveyard, before Xyz Summoning "Artorigus, King of the Noble Knights".
  • Keep in mind this combo only works if Medraut is no longer equipped with any "Noble Arms" Equip Spell Cards, since it needs to be Level 4.

• "Noble Knight Brothers": If you are running low on cards for your combos to work, Special Summon this card and use its effect. Its high DEF will also serve as some protection if you leave it on the field.

Generic Special Summoning Tips

• If "Ignoble Knight of Black Laundsallyn" is in your Graveyard and you want to Special Summon it, use the effect of Medraut to Special Summon "Noble Knight Artorigus" or a "Noble Knight" monster that is treated as a Normal Monster, then Tribute that monster to Special Summon "Black Laundsallyn".

• If there is a specific "Noble Knight" monster you want to be in your hand, and you have "Genex Ally Birdman" in your hand, use the effect of this card to Special Summon the appropriate monster from your Deck, then use the effect of Birdman to return it or Medraut to your hand. Depending on the circumstances, you can Synchro Summon a Level 7 or 8 Synchro Monster afterwards.
