Card Tips:Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon

Summoning (with effect)

• "Galaxy Queen's Light" is a card that lets you easily summon "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" in the right conditions. If you control "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" or "Photon Caesar", and you control another 2 monsters, you could activate it and then you would be able to summon him. If you do want to activate this card effect, then you will have to use "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".

• "Resonance Device" can help you Summon this card with "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", using monsters like "Alexandrite Dragon" and "Prime Material Dragon".
  • Another way to use "Resonance Device", assuming you already control "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" is to summon a LIGHT Warrior like "Photon Crusher" and then Special Summon "Guardian of Order". You can use all three to summon this card.

• Use "Polymerization" or "Future Fusion" to Fusion Summon "Twin Photon Lizard" using 2 "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragons", and then use the effect of "Twin Photon Lizard" to Special Summon its materials from the Graveyard. Then, Special Summon "Guardian of Order" and use the 3 monsters as Xyz Materials.

• Use "Dragon's Mirror" to summon "Five-Headed Dragon", then use "Return from the Different Dimension" to Special Summon "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" and 2 Level 8 Monster Cards to Xyz Summon this card.

• The easiest way to summon this with "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" is by having at least 2 "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" in the graveyard, then activating a card to bring one of them to the field, like "Monster Reborn" or "Galaxy Zero," then normal summon Galaxy Knight by its own effect and special summon another "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon."

• Special Summon "Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit" and then Normal Summon "Hieratic Dragon of Gebeb" or "Hieratic Dragon of Eset". After that, play "Dragonic Tactics" to tribute both and bring out "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". Their effects will activate, bringing out 2 Level 8 Normal Dragon-Type monsters to Xyz into this card with its effect.
  • If you don't want to use "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", then you can summon another Level 8 Dragon-Type monster via "Dragonic Tactics" ("Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "Tyrant Dragon", etc.).

• Normal summon "Galaxy Wizard" and activate the effect to change its Level. Because it's now Level 8, you can use "Galaxy Expedition" to special summon "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" from your deck. Then you can special summon "Guardian of Order" from your hand or use cards like "Galaxy Zero" to special summon a Level 8 "Photon"/"Galaxy" Monster from your graveyard("Galaxy Knight", "Photon Caesar", etc.). You now have 3 materials to XYZ summon this monster.

• Use "Future Fusion" to "Fusion Summon", "Five-Headed Dragon" by throw away one "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", one "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", one"Red-Eyes Wyvern", another 2 8 stars monsters from your deck and wait for two turns. After two turns and use "De-Fusion" and call back one "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", one "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", one"Red-Eyes Wyvern"and another 2 8 stars monsters. Use "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" and another 2 8 stars monster to "Xyz Summon", "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". This also can make a great "OTK" for a Dragon Deck.

• To Xyz Summon this monster easier without getting 3 Level 8 Monsters onto the field: Using "Alchemy Cycle" along with "Waboku" then activating "Star Light, Star Bright" during the Main Phase 2 and overlaying them to summon this card.

• Activate "Photon Sanctuary" to special summon 2 tokens. Tribute them for "Photon Caesar" to bring another "Photon Caesar" from your deck, then Special Summon "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" from your deck using "Galaxy Expedition." Overlay them to summon this card.
  • You can also use "Photon Lead" to special summon "Kaiser Sea Horse" from your hand. Then tribute it to summon "Photon Caesar" and follow the same steps.

• If your opponent controls an Xyz Monster, you can Special Summon from your hand "Photon Slasher", then use "Galaxy Expedition" to summon "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" from your deck, Normal Summon any monster and active "Galaxy Queen's Light" targeting "Galaxy-Eyes". Now you have 3 Level 8 Monsters.
  • Instead of Normal Summon you can Special Summon "Radius, the Half-Moon Dragon", or, if your opponent's monster has 2000 or more ATK, "Schwarzschild, the Limit Dragon".

Summoning (without effect)

• Use "Polymerization" on 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragons", then use "De-Fusion" to Xyz Summon this card. However, if this method is used, it won't get its negating effect.

• "Star Light, Star Bright" and "Inferno Reckless Summon" can help in Summmoning this card.
  • By reducing the level of "Yubel" to 8 to Summon 2 copies of "Level Eater", then activating "Star Light, Star Bright", you can get the 3 Xyz Materials using only 2 cards.

• "Gagaga Magician" and 2 copies of "Gagaga Girl" can Summon this card easily.

• In a "Darklord" deck this card can be brought out using "The Dark Creator" to bring back "Darklord Superbia" and having it bring back "Darklord Zerato".

• Use "Accellight" to summon a "Galaxy Wizard", then use "Inferno Reckless Summon" to bring 2 more Galaxy Wizard's increase the level of all 3 Galaxy Wizards by 4 and Xyz Summon this card. However, be careful to what your opponent could bring using "Inferno Reckless Summon".

• In a "Hieratic" deck, Special Summon a "Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord" with the effect of a "Hieratic" monster, then use "Inferno Reckless Summon" to Special Summon 2 additional copies before overlaying them for this card.

General Tips

• "Dragorado" can help in Summoning this card.

• If you use "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material, it negates the effect of all cards. This is brilliant for the "Photon" archetype, as many of them have high ATKs but debilitating effects.
  • Keep in mind that if this card is Xyz Summoned using "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", it will negate all face-up card effects, including its controller's.
    • Also bear in mind that certain cards, such as "Chainsaw Insect", will benefit from having their effects negated.
      • This card can also be a very good to fight against "Dark Paladin" with a dragon deck, because due to it's effect you can disable the ATK gaining of "Dark Paladin" (which would be about 4900 if you don't use another dragon except "Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon" to summon this card) and then destroy "Dark Paladin".

• To counter this monster, use effects that resolve in the Graveyard, like those of "Machina Fortress" and "Necro Gardna".

• You can easily make an OTK with this card if your opponents have 2 or more Xyz Monsters on the field. Use this card's effect to detach all Xyz Materials from your opponent's monsters and then use "Lightning Vortex".
  • To ensure an OTK it would be wise to use "Royal Decree" without using "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as this card's Xyz Material. Another option would be to use "Trap Stun".

• "Starlight Road" is a good choice for an easy Special Summon of Level 8 monsters, as are "Malefic Stardust Dragon" and "Malefic Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

• This card is perfect to use with "Xyz Burst".

• This card works really well with "Beast King Barbaros" if you Xyz Summoned it using "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to get its negating effect.

• With "Photon Trident", this card can gain some ATK and destroy Spell and Trap Cards too, which is useful considering this card to attack multiple times.

• By Equipping "Megamorph" and "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" to this card, you can achieve an OTK by detaching two overlay units from this card.

• An uncommon strategy is using Xyz Reborn to revive quickly "Number 39: Utopia" and Overlay him to summon "Number C39: Utopia Ray" with 2 materials, then use "Creature Swap" to give it to your opponent. Then, use the effect of "Neo Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon" to get a 1000 ATK boost and 2 attacks, making an OTK possibly if you're lucky however a Rank 4 "Constellar" can perform 2 chaos xyz's giving you a better chance.

• The ATK gaining effect of this card depends on how many Overlay Units the Xyz Monster had on that were removed by this card effect. As well on how many times this card is able to attack during the Battle Phase. Here's an example on how much ATK power and how many times this card is able to attack, it can obtain:
  • 1 Xyz Material = 500 (Effect) + 4500 (Original) = 5000 ATK +1 attack
  • 2 Xyz Materials = 1000 (Effect) + 4500 (Original) = 5500 ATK + 2 attacks
  • 3 Xyz Materials = 1500 (Effect) + 4500 (Original) = 6000 ATK + 3 attacks
  • 4 Xyz Materials = 2000 (Effect) + 4500 (Original) = 6500 ATK + 4 attacks
