This card can be searched by "A Cat of Ill Omen" and "The Despair Uranus".

"Call of the Haunted" usually outclasses this card, but this card can be very useful if you Summon a monster that benefits from being destroyed specifically by a card effect:
- "Yubel" can be Special Summoned during the opponent's turn with this card, and during the next turn, it can subsequently changed to Defense Position to easily Special Summon "Yubel - Terror Incarnate".
- "Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes" can be changed to Defense Position to trigger "Rise of the Snake Deity" (which Special Summons "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes").
- In a "Mokey Mokey" Deck, "Mokey Mokey Smackdown" can be triggered by changing the Special Summoned Fairy-Type monster to Defense Position.
  - Alternatively, "Mokey Mokey King" can be Special Summoned with this card and subsequently be changed to Defense Position to trigger its effect.
- In a "Yang Zing" Deck, a "Yang Zing" monster with 0 ATK can be Special Summoned and be changed to Defense Position to trigger its effect.
- "Marshmacaron" can be changed to Defense Position to trigger its effect.
- "Sangan" can be Special Summoned during the opponent's turn and be changed to Defense Position to trigger its effect.
