  • The self-destruction of most "Koa'ki Meiru" monsters, including this card itself, are attached to maintenance costs, therefore are not counted as card effects and cannot be insured against with this card.
    • "Koa'ki Meiru Prototype" is the exception - its destruction in place of a "Koa'ki Meiru" monster that fails to meet its maintenance cost is treated as a card effect, thus, this card can maintain itself by banishing a "Koa'ki Meiru" in your Graveyard to prevent "Prototype" from destroying itself.
    • "Pyramid of Wonders" can be used to insure against the self-destruction of this card, because it does not state that it must be an effect that destroys the monster.
  • If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, you can chain a Spell Speed 2 effect that adds a "Koa'ki Meiru" monster to your Graveyard. "Burial from a Different Dimension" can make use of already-banished "Koa'ki Meiru" monsters as protection.
