Card Tips:Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest

• This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute using "The Trojan Horse".

• This card combos nicely with "Card of Safe Return".

• This card can be brought out easier by switching a Berserk Gorilla into Defense Position.

• This card works well in a Crystal Beast Deck, because some of the Crystal Beast are Beast Type, he fits well especially if you use Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder and/or Rainbow Dragon.

• Much of this card's usefulness came from the fact that it could be Special Summoned during the Damage Step, which was prohibited by a newly-added Ruling. While this greatly compromised the card, it still has some use in that it can be the perfect response to any mass-destruction card effect, such as Lightning Vortex, Torrential Tribute, Mirror Force, and pretty much any other Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster that activates outside the Damage Step.

• You may Special Summon this card if you activate Rescue Cat's effect. You Special Summon two strong Level 3 Beasts, then if they are destroyed by Rescue Cat's effect, you can Special Summon Green Baboon into the End Phase.

• You can send this card to the Graveyard by activating Foolish Burial. Once a Beast-Type monster you control is destroyed, you can instantly bring back this card. However, this makes it vulnerable for removal from play.

• Playing Opossum is the quickest way to summon this card, as long as you have 1000 LP and your opponent has a monster, with ideally an ATK from 900-2500, and you will still get Opossum back next turn.

• Destruct Potion is another easy choice, usually covering the cost you'll pay for Baboon.
