- "Giant Germ" is useful for providing monsters to Special Summon "Dark Necrofear", the "Sky Scourges", "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms", and "Destiny Hero - Plasma".
- This card works well when used with "Creature Swap".
- Suicide 3 "Giant Germ"s to quickly meet the summoning requirements for "Dark Armed Dragon" while doing 1500 points of damage to your opponent. Note that this will cost you Life Points (unless you have "Spirit Barrier") and you will be unable to attack with DAD until your next turn.
- This can be a very quick Deck Thinner.
- Afer this card has been destroyed by battle and allowed you to search for 2 other of its kind,during your turn, Normal Summon Junk Synchron to Special Summon the destroyed monster;allowing you to Synchro Summon Junk Warrior and giving extra ATK through the other Giant Germs.
- While Mausoleum of the Emperor is in playand if one of your Germs dies to summon the other two, they can work as fodder for the effect of Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca.
