- This card can be searched by "Magician's Circle", "Justice of Prophecy" and "Temperance of Prophecy".
- Equip your opponent's monster with "Big Bang Shot" and then activate "Disenchanter"'s effect to bring it back to your hand, removing the monster from play with "Big Bang Shot"'s second effect.
- This combo works especially well while "Magical Citadel of Endymion" is on the field, as you get a free monster removal.
- "Disenchanter" allows you to bring back "Messenger of Peace" to your hand, attack and then reactivate "Messenger of Peace" to prevent your opponent from striking back.
- This can also be achieved with "Level Limit - Area B" to spare yourself some life points.
- "Disenchanter" prolongs effects of cards like "Swords of Revealing Light", "Swords of Concealing Light", "Nightmare's Steelcage" and "Deck Lockdown".
- When playing against a Spell Counter deck that uses "Magical Citadel of Endymion", "Disenchanter" can return it to the hand using it own spell counters.
- If the Spell Counter deck uses "Disenchanter", you can even take their "Disenchanter" with various cards to return their "Magical Citadel of Endymion", etc. to their hand.
- Use "Magical Exemplar" with "Disenchanter" and a Continuous Spell Card (or any spell that activates and then remains face up on the field) to produce at least 2 Spell Counters per turn.
- This combo works best with cards like "Swords of Revealing Light", to prevent your opponent from attacking.
- You can reuse "Symbol of Heritage".
- When dueling an opponent whose deck relies heavily on field cards (such as "Zombie World" decks), chances are they also have "Field Barrier". When both are activate, use "Disenchanter's" effect to send the Field Spell back to its owner's hand, ruining their strategy and forcing them to destroy their own card.
- There's a mean combo using this card, "Tower of Babel" and "Swords of Revealing Light": First, summon "Disenchanter" (e.g. with "Magician's Circle"), then activate "Tower of Babel" and collect 2 counters (e.g. by activating "Spell Power Grasp"). After that you activate "Swords of Revealing Light", putting a third counter on the "Tower of Babel". Now, you can use "Disenchanter's" effect every turn, removing one counter from "Tower of Babel", taking "Swords of Revealing Light" back to your hand, then activate it again, putting again the third spell counter on the trap card.The result of this combo: Your opponent cannot attack and monster he will set will be revealed every turn. Stopping this 3-card combo is possible, of course, but if the opponent destroys "Disenchanter" with a spell card, he will take 3000 points of damage (because of "Tower of Babel"). Also, you can prevent the destruction of the key monster of this combo with "Defender, the Magical Knight".
