- This card can be searched by "Dark Sage", "Ancient Gear Drill", "Alchemic Magician", "Angmarl the Fiendish Monarch", "Left Arm Offering", "Spell Calling", "Quick Booster", "Mecha Phantom Beast Jaculuslan", "Magician's Rod" and "Dark Magic Inheritance".
Traditional Format
- As "Dedication through Light and Darkness" is a Quick-Play Spell Card, you can first attack with "Dark Magician", and then play "Dedication through Light and Darkness" (even from your hand) and be able to also attack with "Dark Magician of Chaos" during the same Battle Phase.
- If you control "Eternal Soul", you can Special Summon "Dark Magician" from the Graveyard, letting "Dark Magician" attack one more time.
- Use "Silent Doom", "Ancient Rules", "Birthright", or "Dark Magic Curtain" to get "Dark Magician" on the field more easily.
- When you Special Summon "Dark Magician of Chaos" by this card, return "Monster Reborn" to your hand by the effect of "Dark Magician of Chaos", and Special Summon the Tributed "Dark Magician".
- Elemental HERO Prisma with a fusion card that requires Dark Magician in your deck can utilize this card more easily.
