(Added a tip for potentially making use of Darkness Neosphere as a somewhat unusual but potentially effective Ghostrick tech, including a combo with Dullahan.) |

Revision as of 05:04, 6 December 2014
- This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase" and "Chaos Zone".
- This card can reset a lot of useful Continuous Trap Cards like "Call of the Haunted".
- In the case of "Call of the Haunted"/"Birthright"/"Soul Resurrection" this can be an especially useful effect, since "Call" is often left sitting on the field meaninglessly (because the monster it Special Summoned was not destroyed but has left the field.)
- An additional tactic to use with "Call of the Haunted"/"Soul Resurrection"/"Birthright" is to chain "Royal Decree" to that of this card. In doing so, "Call of the Haunted"/"Soul Resurrection"/"Birthright" is negated before it leaves the field. The monster it was used to revive stays, and you can continue recycling the two cards in such a way as to be able to revive a monster every turn.
- You can also take advantage of "Call of the Haunted"/"Soul Resurrection"/"Birthright" to recycle effects that activate in the Graveyard, like that of "Destiny HERO - Dasher". Or you can use this for monster effects that activate when Special Summoned, like "Sacred Crane".
- In the case of "Call of the Haunted"/"Birthright"/"Soul Resurrection" this can be an especially useful effect, since "Call" is often left sitting on the field meaninglessly (because the monster it Special Summoned was not destroyed but has left the field.)
- It works well in a Sacred Beast Deck because this card is an easy-to-use Fiend-Type which controls your Trap Cards.
- This card works well with "Anti-Spell Fragrance". Your opponent will have to set their Spell Cards before using them, while you can just use the effect of this card, this works well with Gravity Bind: during your turn, use "Neosphere" to return these trap cards to your hand, and after you are done, set them again and use them during your opponent's turn.
- Use this card to trump over any of your opponent's battle tricks (like "Honest", "Shrink" or other cards like these). Since this card cannot be destroyed in battle, your opponent either lets his/her monster be destroyed or waste their cards while you keep your monster.
- You can recycle "Depth Amulet" when you choose to let an attack go through and summon this card.
- "Final Attack Orders" and "Savage Colosseum" allow you to easily summon this card and then completely destroy your opponent's monsters.
- Use this card with "Tour of Doom" to prevent your opponent from normal or flip summoning half of the time without suffering from the downside yourself.
- In addition, you can use "Light of Intervention" to prevent your opponent from setting monsters as well.
- Combo with "Spirit Barrier" to protect your Life Points.
- This card works well in a Dark Gaia-based Deck.
- Send "Macro Cosmos" to your hand so you can direct when your cards are banished.
- Its helpful to lockdown your opponent's attack by using "Gravity Bind".
- Use Fiend-type monsters that summon other Fiends, like "Stygian Security", so your opponent will be tempted to attack over and over. This will help you thin out your Deck and will let you always have the conditions met for this card's summoning costs.
- This card is surprisingly useful in a Koa'ki Meiru-based Deck. The card's summoning cost can easily be paid since Koa'ki Meirus revolve around keeping monsters with same type in Hand and field, and his effect can be abused with "Core Reinforcement" and "Koa'ki Meiru Valafar".
- Combine this card with "Evil HERO Infernal Gainer" to create an OTK.
- You can use "Monster Reincarnation" to add this card back to your hand again if it is ever destroyed
- You can use copies of "Evil HERO Malicious Edge" on your Deck while using this card in order to banish them both later with "Dark Calling" to summon "Evil HERO Malicious Fiend".
- Many monsters that are useful to send to the Graveyard when summoning this card include "Supay", "Night Assailant" and "Necro Defender".
- This card can serve as a rather unorthodox tech for "Ghostrick" decks, especially since people generally won't expect to see such a low power deck instantly drop a 4000 ATK monster. When your "Ghostrick Dullahan" is attacked, you can send it and another Fiend-Type Ghostrick from your hand for the Summon, then you'll get to add a card from the Graveyard back to your hand through the effect of Dullahan! It's very unlikely that Neosphere's ATK wouldn't be enough to slow down your opponent's attacks, but if so, you can even use Dullahan's ATK halving effect beforehand just to be safe.
Traditional Format
- This card lets you reuse "Imperial Order" to save yourself having to destroy it to use Spell cards.
- Send "Sangan" from the Field and/or "Night Assailant" from your hand to help even out the card advantage you lost in Special Summoning this card. Using Floaters like "Mask of Darkness" or "Dark Mimic LV1" will also help offset the cost of Special Summoning this card.
