Revision as of 16:56, 18 December 2010
- The best time to play this card is at the beginning of your turn, giving you time to Normal Summon a monster while your opponent has none.
- Use this card while your opponent has more monsters than you. This is particularly useful against "Blackwing", "X-Saber" and "Morphtronic" decks.
- Use "Dimensionhole", "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" or "Forgotten Temple of the Deep" to Remove from Play one monster you control so it won't be destroyed by this card's effect.
- You can activate this card while you control "Crystal Beasts" to get them into your Spell & Trap Card Zone quickly for the Special Summon of "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" while also leaving your opponent open for a direct attack.
- If you have a copy of "Oyster Meister" on the field when you use this card, you won't be left defenseless due to "Oyster Meister"'s effect that lets you Special Summon 1 "Oyster Token" when it is sent from the field to the Graveyard.
- If you only have "Ice Barrier" monsters on the field, including "Dai-Sojo of the Ice Barrier", use this card to only destroy your opponent's monsters, as "Dai-Sojo of the Ice Barrier" will prevent yours from being destroyed.
- You can use this card to destroy "Yubel" or "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" to bring out the next form.
- If you have monsters such as "Gigantes" or "Aqua Spirit" which require monsters to be removed from play from your Graveyard to summon, using "Dark Hole" to clear the field provides a decent opportunity to bring these monsters out, as they can then go for a direct attack or even be used as part of a Tribute Summon.
- You can set Sand Moth, then play this card to make it return to the field with greater ATK strength.
- If "Fortune Lady Light" is the only Monster you control, since your opponent will lose all of their Monsters, you will get to Special Summon another "Fortune Lady" from your Deck.
- With a Black Brutdrago on your field and a Chthonian Emperor Dragon in your graveyard, you can use Dark Hole, revive Chthonian Emperor Dragon with Black Brutdrago's effect, then attack directly twice for 4800.
- Alternatively you can revive any gemini monster with high attack or a useful effect, such as Phoenix Gearfried.
- If you haven't normal summoned yet in this situation, you can revive a Tuned Magician and summon a non-tuner for two attacks and/or a Synchro summon.
