Summoning[]
- For tips on how to Synchro Summon this card, see Card Tips:Shooting Quasar Dragon.
- "Speedroid" and "Windwitch" decks are now able to Synchro Summon this card. They cannot Synchro Summon "Shooting Quasar Dragon" due to their Attribute restriction on Synchro Summoning. The required Synchro materials are "Hi-Speedroid Cork Shooter", a Level 4 WIND non-Tuner Synchro Monster and a Level 5 WIND non-Tuner Synchro Monster.
- Normal Summon "Speedroid Horse Stilts" and use its effect to Special Summon "Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice". Change "Horse Stilts'" Level to 2.
- Synchro Summon "Cork Shooter" using "Horse Stilts" and "Red-Eyed Dice". Use "Cork Shooter's" effect to Special Summon "Red-Eyed Dice" and "Horse Stilts".
- Special Summon "Windwitch - Snow Bell".
- Synchro Summon the Level 5 WIND monster using "Snow Bell" and "Horse Stilts".
- Special Summon "Speedroid Taketomborg".
- Synchro Summon the Level 4 WIND monster using "Red-Eyed Dice" and "Taketomborg".
- This card can be Special Summoned with "Limit Overdrive".
- This card is preferable over "Shooting Quasar Dragon" when using this method, as the latter can only attack multiple times when Synchro Summoned, while this card retains the usage of all of its effects no matter how it was Summoned. Not to mention it returns instead of Special Summoning itself back to the field after using its self-banishing effects.
Countering[]
- A good way to counter this card is by baiting it to negate an effect and then placing it in the Graveyard with "Burial from a Different Dimension" or sending it to the Extra Deck with an effect like "Pot of Acquisitiveness", "Necroface", etc.
- "Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman" can be a good counter against this card, as it can prevent it from activating its effect and force it to remain in Defense Position.
