  • "Action Magic - Full Turn" allows for this card to inflict doubled battle damage--quadrupled if this card attacks a Defense Position monster.
  • This card can be combined with "Tyrant Wing" or "Tyrant Burst Dragon" in order to increase its ATK and make it able to attack multiple times in the same Battle Phase.
  • Combo this card with Impcantation Monsters to swarm your field with your Impcantation monsters and bring out Chaos MAX Dragon with ease, then use "Creature Swap" to give an Impcantation Monster to your opponent and attack the swapped monster with this card for an easy OTK.
  • If "Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon" was summoned using "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and "Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon" is also on the field, it can most likely result in a One-Turn Kill as long as the opponent has at least two monsters with at least one of them being a non-Link monster in attack position or have a monster that cannot be destroyed by battle in attack position. This would cause the monster in attack position to switch to defense position with 0 DEF, allowing Chaos MAX to deal 8,000 double piercing damage to the opponent.

Countering

  • This card can be taken from the opponent's Deck with "Lullaby of Obedience". In a mirror match, if this card's owner chooses to add it to their opponent's hand, rather than Special Summoning it, it'll only be a matter of time until the opponent Ritual Summons it.
  • Use "Time Pendulumgraph" to target 1 card other than "Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon", then use "Timestar Magician" to prevent destruction, then send "Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon" to the GY.
  • "Trickstar Reincarnation" can be chained right after the activation of the ritual spell card to banish the opponent's entire hand with this card, which, in turn, prevents this card from being Ritual Summoned entirely.
  • Note that this card has 0 defense, and it’s vulnerable to being destroyed by battle, so you can use “Prediction Princess” cards, “No Entry!!”, “Earthquake”, “Zero Gravity”, “Windstorm of Etaqua”, or “Gravitic Orb” to switch this card to defense mode, and destroy it by battle with any monsters you may control.
  • "Storming Mirror Force" can return this card to the hand, since it neither targets nor destroys. In the same vein, "Quaking Mirror Force" can force this card into face-down Defense Position, as, like "Storming Mirror Force", it' doesn't target, turning it into easy prey for being destroyed in battle, thanks to its 0 Defense.

Traditional Format

  • Since this card cannot be destroyed by the opponent's card effects, it can serve as an out to "El Shaddoll Construct".
  • If this card is Ritual Summoned with "Djinn Releaser of Rituals" as one of the Tributes, you will have a 4000-ATK Beatstick that inflicts doubled piercing damage, is partially protected from your opponent's card effects, and forbids your opponent from Special Summoning, which is disastrous for them when this card is selected for "Last Turn".
  • Cards like "Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End" and "Fiber Jar" can take this card off the field without targeting or destroying it.
    • Considering the low DEF that "Fiber Jar", however, it is not the best option to deal with this card unless you have a Set "Waboku" or flip it during your turn with "Book of Taiyou". Otherwise, it would cost you 7000 LP to deal with this card using "Fiber Jar" due to its Double Piercing effect.
