- This card's effect does not trigger upon Flip Summoning or flipping face-up via effect.
- This card is a key component of combos that involve "Earthbound Immortal Aslla piscu". Activate this card, then summon four monsters including "Aslla piscu" before foddering away "Aslla piscu" itself (as Tribute, Synchro or Link Material) to summon a fifth "Rose Token" which is then destroyed by "Aslla piscu's" effect, dealing 4000 damage in total. "Aslla piscu's" effect is not once-per-turn - being able to summon "Aslla piscu" twice as part of ten summons while "Black Garden" is on the field constitutes an FTK.
- You can also trigger "Aslla piscu's" effect even if it would be sent to the Graveyard from the Spell & Trap Zone, thus bypassing the effort required to summon it. "Inzektor Exa-Beetle", which typically takes at least three summons to get on board itself, is currently the easiest way to equip "Aslla piscu" from the Graveyard.
- This card can make full use of "Rose Tentacles" and its effects, because while this card will halve its ATK, it can still destroy "Rose Tokens" controlled by your opponent and inflict up to 600 damage per attack.
- To make full use of this card's second effect, run monsters whose original ATK values are multiples of 800.
- Summon a monster with more than 1600 ATK so that it can destroy the token summoned to your opponent's field. Otherwise, use "Fragrance Storm" to destroy the token and draw one card.
- While this card is on the field, you get a monster back each time you summon to the other side of the field (via "Gilasaurus", "Ojama Trio", a "Kaiju" monster etc.)
