- You can equip "Berserk Dragon" with "Fairy Meteor Crush" or "Big Bang Shot" to inflict damage when attacking Defense Position Monsters.
- You can bring this card to your hand from your graveyard with "Recurring Nightmare".
- When this card's attack points are low due to its effect, you can tribute it for another monster then spring another "A Deal with Dark Ruler" to summon a fresh "Berserk Dragon".
- You can use "A Deal with Dark Ruler" after using "Darklord Zerato"'s field clearing effect to summon "Berserk Dragon".
- Use "Reverse Trap" to raise it's ATK for a turn.
- This can be a good counter to "D.D. Warrior Lady", as many would simply want to remove "Berserk Dragon" from play (to prevent a second one from appearing with the combo above). When Berserk Dragon is low on ATK, this can be quite a rude awakening, as suddenly "Berserk Dragon"'s ATK skyrockets and (since a replay does not occur) your opponent can do nothing but watch.

- As soon as possible, tribute this card for "Great Maju Garzett", and, if possible, you can use another "A Deal with Dark Ruler".
- A clever, but difficult trick is to chain "A Deal with Dark Ruler" to the negating effect of "Stardust Dragon" or "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode", not only do you negate a card, you get a 3500 attacker on the field as well.
- When this card's ATK is low enough due to its effect, you can Tribute it for "Deck Devastation Virus" or "Eradicator Epidemic Virus".
- Tribute a Level eight monster and another one to Normal Summon "The Creator", then activate "A Deal with Dark Ruler" to Special Summon "Berserk Dragon", then activate "The Creator"'s effect to get the Level eight monster back for a possible OTK.
- If this card has become too weak, tribute it for "Advance Draw".
- Use "Ojama Trio" to put 3 Tokens on your opponent side Field, after this use Zero Gravity to change they to ATK Position, so use this card to Attack ALL Tokens and make an OTK.
